This is the most amazing dog & cat sanctuary/rehab.
Jeff is genuinely the most incredible person I have ever met and the work he does for these dogs is truly mind blowing.

Jeff has given his life to rescue, protect and rehabilitate these animals to give them a second chance and a life full of love and safety, which is not guaranteed on this island.
The dogs are obsessed with Jeff even the most timid of the dogs will rush over to him the minute they see him. This is so much more than just a shelter.

This was on of the best and most immersive experiences of my life and I would highly recommend visiting if you love animals!

If you are visiting Langkawi please visit the sanctuary. Donate what you can and spend as many days as possible volunteering.

    It's indeed a peaceful place.
As always temples are amazing! It was just too hot, whatever time of the day you go there will be very very hot, but we've still enjoyed it.
Managed to arrange one van rental for our tour.

Amazing views. The trip up the tower is expected to take much longer than it actually did. You get a guide and access to refreshments etc but there is not that much to do. The great thing about the tower is that there are three great cafes on the first floor. You do not have to pay the entrance fee to the tower to access these. Zus coffee was my favourite. All cafes air conditioned but also have seating outside. Great views. The cafes are open till late in the evening too

Had to check what this yellow building was after passing it in grab. The Indian textiles, bags and bedding looked nice but were overpriced considering the quality. Looking at the pots and pans I wondered how much the average salary is in Malaysia, the prices were reaching European levels especially as Langkawi is a tax free "paradise".

A really bright and colourfully constructed mosque and well worth observing from the park with its stark colour contrasts...

Not at all like the malls that Australians like. Many smaller shops and the food court area is basic. The duty free shop was not to my taste.

Such a pleasant surprise to find such a gem in small town Kuah. Nice, clean place for foot and massage. It is well set up and well run.

The short white and blue bridges crossing the overgrown pond would look more idyllic if the area was kept clean. A correctional institute rises on the other side of the road with interesting looking teak houses on stilts.

Great course to play if you don’t want to spend hundreds of £’s for a round. I played 18 holes with a buggy and was given 2x complimentary drinks, including beer. Also hired clubs, bought a Footjoy glove, 10 balls and a pack of tee’s all for under £80 (480RM). Course was undergoing some work so the bunkers weren’t great but the club made me aware of this before I booked a round and they were very honest so I knew what to expect. Only issue is if you don’t have transport already, getting a grab is near impossible but the club was able to arrange their transportation to drop me back to my hotel for 80RM. Club also informed me that all works on the course should be completed by mid feb-March 2024.
