What travellers are saying
- Ellen SAllentown, PA12 contributionsThe early morning boat tour with Daniel was in formative with lots of unique wildlife including howler and capuchin monkeys, several species of herons, kingfisher, motmot, storks, curassow, iguanas, and lots of crocodiles. Instead of placing my husband and I in with a group tour we were lucky enough to get an individual tour with our own guide and boat captain. The hacienda is very historical with beautiful gardens. The coffee and food were excellent with great Costa Rican service. The roads close to the destination are rough through the sugarcane plantation. If driving on your own, follow the signs to get to your destination.Written 6 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Curiosity142693021738 contributionsWe save the best national park for last - Santa Rosa, the day before we flew back to the USA. We didn't make our reservation until the night before and learned to our utter dismay that the park is closed on Tuesdays. We got there too late in the day our last visit to Costa Rica. And this was probably our last visit to Costa Rica so I cried I was so disappointed. We drove slowly along the road to the entrance, but they wouldn't let us stop to birdwatch so we were tremendously disappointed. I still rated the park of very good because I'm sure it would have been had we been able to visit it!Written 7 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - J KBoone, NC4 contributionsIt was our destination for a great guided kayak tour set up by Hotel Punta Islita. Dry season meant we put in an hour from Ocean and paddled both ways... easy, beautiful and informative.Written 13 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DaleRachmelerOakland, CA480 contributionsThese very small islands off shore within the National Park are lovely for snorkeling, kayaking and a bit of hiking. The water is clear, warm and inviting. On the way down from the hill tops, you had to sit and slide down as the gravel is very fine and loose. Lots of tropical fish to see and study as well as picture perfect blue skies. A lovely morning in natures best.Written 10 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Lynne P1 contributionGino!
The most Amazing Tour Guide ever!
He spent the entire day educating us on Costa Ricas food, culture, weather, terrain, animals and so much more.
He wouldn't give up until he found us a Toucan and Britt candy.

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 tween) all went and they were great at teaching and making sure everyone was able to get up and learn the basics. Super patient, very nice and their English was excellent. Would highly recommend them!Written 13 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Beth W11 contributionsWhat can I say…. Hands down best fishing trip my husband, friends and I have ever had. Every year we take a trip to a different country and we always book a fishing trip to catch fish that are native to the island and in all the ones we had this one was the best. Jerald and Captain Robert were so knowledgeable about fishing and so many things about the island. It was incredible. We got to see so many cool things that some were so fast you couldn’t catch it on camera but amazing to see in person. We caught 3 rooster fish that day and also a black tuna, a mackerel, some lady fish and blue runner. The crew were so friendly and Jerald was exceptionally with the lunch, snacks and beverages. Would definitely recommend them and this trip to everyone!!!!Written 14 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
