Rainier from Pininos Adventures was a great guide. To start off, the day we were scheduled to go to Miravalles, it was pouring rain. Omar (from Pininos) called to offer us a different day if we wanted to switch. We did and it was a beautiful day. Second, myself and another lady in our party have bad knees and we were concerned about the hiking involved. Rainier assured us that he would alter the tour to make it doable for us. He made it so we could do what we could and the others could do more. He was very kind and very patient with us. We were a little disappointed that the waterfall park was closed because of too much rain the previous days but it was not the fault of the adventure company. Rainier took us to a different location so we still got to see a couple waterfalls. If you are thinking of bypassing an excursion because you don’t think you can handle it, give Pininos Adventures a call and see if they can make it doable for you. I know they will do their best to make sure you enjoy your time in Guanacaste. If we go back to Costa Rica our first call will be to Pininos Adventures for all of our excursions.
