- Swapnil WPune, India58 contributionsGanpati Bappa Morya ! Try and visit during off-peak days (avoid festivals, Sankashti etc.) Recommended time is early mornings if you want to visit the nearby beach as well.
Going for 12 noon Aarti and mahaprasad (12.30 to 2 pm) is recommended for time-conscious travellers.
Staff inside is decent and manage the crowds well.
Lot of watersports options on the beach next.Written 4 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KeKuPune, India358 contributionsIt is a must visit place if you are in/around Ganapatipule. It is just 4/5km away from Ganapatipule. It's a well preserved site of a well known Marathi Poet.
When we visited, it was closed due to holiday. But, since the caretaker was there, he allowed us to enter. Nice place, all the important poems and well arranged for visitors to read. The birthplace itself is well maintained. A nice statue depicting the most famous poem 'Ek Tutari'.
Overall, one must visit this place to admire the Marathi Literature.Written 8 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kapurashMumbai1,190 contributionsThis place is targeted at the tourists visiting Ganpatipule/Ratnagiri as suggested by its ticket entry price of 100/- per adult.
There are some wax statutes of famous personalities but not many in number. So while it’s a nice idea, the few statues & ticket prices may not justify spending time at this attractionWritten 17 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But they don't offer to drop at either location. Took bike at Ratnagiri also. They gave pick-up drop at station also. Bikes are well maintained. They have old bikes also. I guess they can give old bikes at lesser price also. Overall it's very helpfulWritten 13 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Soham2 contributionsWorst experience ever, not at all wort for 1500 . There were no fish, corals, and water was also not clean, all i was able to see was green water and stones under water. I would never recommend anyone to do scuba and other water sports at this place. I have also posted a photo where you can clearly see .Written 18 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Swapnil WPune, India58 contributionsAll 3 of us in the family did this. They use high quality equipment and the 5-6 mins ride is extremely safe. Worth experiencing once at least if you are visiting Konkan region.
View from 1000 ft is fantastic. Charges are in the range of Rs 3400 to 4000 per head, depending on the rush / season.Written 4 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We did Jetski and parasailing - both were highly worth it. Rates can be negotiated based on the rush on the day of visit. Malgund beach (where we did water sports) is relatively safer and quieter than the Ganpatipule (near temple) beach.Written 4 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
