This tour was a lot of fun and we really learned a lot about the food and the area. Judy was very knowledgeable and helped us to adjust the foods we tried to our preferences. Though we didn't have any food allergies, my daughter does not like fish so we avoided the dishes that had fish and focused on only pork and chicken. We also got to try a lot of different foods that can only be found in Taiwan. From braised pork to pineapple bread to of course bubble tea! My biggest recommendation is to bring a recycle bag or plastic bag to collect all of the treats and only take bites as you go. We ate too much at the beginning and so by the end we just took a bite and saved the rest for later, like the dumplings and the sweet potato balls. We were sad that we were so fully by the time we reached the shaved ice that we could only eat half. But really worth the time and money to take this tour!!

We had a great time! Our teacher was knowledgeable, funny, and engaging. The recipes were also authentic and delicious. We definitely recommend this even if you have just a few days in Taipei.

Yui was my City Unscripted tour guide in Taipei. She was a great listener, asked spot-on questions, and shared heaps of info. She made sure the tour was tailored just for me, which was tops. Yui chatted about the local food, how it's made, and the culture here in Taipei. She really got what I was after and made the tour exactly what I wanted.
Yui gave me some bonza ideas for other things to do in Taipei, based on what she knew I was keen on. At the end, she took me to the train station and gave me clear directions to get back to my hotel – no worries there!
I had a very good time with Yui, and I'm stoked I chose her as my guide. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a top-notch guide in Taipei.

Our tour guide, James, was absolutely amazing. He spoke English and was very informative on all of the stops. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. We did the 8 hour private tour.

Wayne is an excellent guide and instructor! The tour through the market gave us an intro into the fresh ingredients found in a Taiwanese open market. Our foray into making beef noodle soup, soup dumplings, and boba tea kept all participants engaged and increasingly hungry for the final product. Lastly, our lunch did not disappoint—delicious and rewarding!

Justaiwan (agency) was booked by us for our CNY holidays.
Mr Chia Jung came with a smile to bring my family to Taroko mountain. (*in between a 1 day tour to Taichung too.)
Obviously lack of time, typically each stops like 30 mins for such a park, too much to miss this beautiful mountain area. *would been ideal to self drive but left hand and cliff n bends make it dangerous to DIY.
He was knowledgeable and a superb skill driver.(especially in winding adventures roads).
He speaks well in English and Hokkien n of cause Mondrian. *Japanese too.
Oh, he loves lots of pictures n camera.
    Overall, Recommended.
    Go.. Enjoy! Taiwan :p

Amazing class with great food and a professional staff. I would certainly recommend taking it if you are interested in learning how to make xiao long bao.

Our class had 8 students in it and the two teachers were able to interact and help all the students. The class did not feel rushed, and questions we had were clarified. The xiao long bao turned out great and I wasn't sure what to expect from the pork thick soup, but I ended up enjoying that as well.

I will certainly be making these recipes again at home.

Excellent from start to finish (Thank You)
Our guide turned up on time and was excellent from start to finish. He provided water and even umbrella's due to the inclement weather. His knowledge was outstanding and you can tell he is very proud of his culture. He made sure we saw everything that we requested. Got back to the ship on time. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there and recommend the company. Excellent.

We loved the food tour at the night markets. We visited two markets - one smaller and one larger. It was a great way to get a sense of the culture and taste amazing food. Our guide Charlotte was great - she took us to the best food stalls, provided background on the places and food, and made the tour fun and relaxed. She was flexible to accommodate our interests and very generous with her time. We definitely recommend this tour!

Taipei is an easy city to ride around in, I was initally anxious that it might be a bit overwhelming, but it really isn't! Our first stop with Marvin and Eric was Yong Kang which is funky little area in Taipei. We had a tea and a walk here. Then we cycled to Shang Kai-Shek memorial which is truly spectacular at night (we went back the next day and saw the changing of the guards). Then we rode to Nanjichang Night Market where Marvin explained the different foods and how to order them - that was useful for the rest of the trip!
The cycling was easy and the food delicious!

The experience met and exceeded our expectations! The instructor was very helpful and nice, and spoke English, Japanese and Chinese which was needed for this multinational group. The dishes were fun to prepare, everything was already measured out and we went step by step through the recipes together as a class. The staff took pictures throughout the process and airdropped them to us at the end. We also received a certificate of completion with the recipes in our language of choice.

In June 2024, the two of us took the Discover Taiwanese Charms: Jiufen and Shifen Private Day Tour with a tour guide named Mr James Chen. He guided us along the way by providing detailed explanations and history of the places in Jiufen and Shifen. He also took us to a local restaurant so we could taste authentic local food. Considering our limited time, we asked if he could also take us to the 101 tower building and he was happy to take us. He works professionally, kindly and attentively. We recommend that if you go to Taipe, Mr James Chen is the right person to take you on your trip.

Our tour guide Chiao Chiao was amazing! She was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about all of the sites we visited, and more than happy to answer all of our questions. She picked us up at our hotel right on time and her vehicle was super comfortable. She provided service above and beyond our expectations. We would highly recommend her if you are looking for a great introduction to the city. A++
