We arrived in Sakae before hotel check in time and was hungry. So we went to this departmental store for a walk and try to find something to eat around the area. Was very pleased and amazed by the food at the supermarket. They looked attractive as usual like all Japanese supermarket food street/corner. We bought a beef bento and some deep fried chicken bites to eat in hotel room after checked in. Didn't take photos of those we bought, but took picture of a beautiful bento set.

In Lachic, cafes are always crowded. In the 12th or 13th floor restaurants I can enjoy meal. After meal I look for a cafe, but every cafe has no empty seats. Then I go to the 4th floor, Beardsley. that is a female clothes ship. But there is a casual cafe. If you can't find a cafe, try it.

Underground shopping street/mall is very common in Japan especially those near the train stations and offer a place for commuters to shop and dine on way to work or home.

And this one is no difference but unlike the other ones, this 240 meters underground mall has relatively lesser shops (to shop) and have more of eateries, restaurants and pubs instead. You can try the local delicacies or Japanese food at reasonable prices and you will be spoiled for choices. And evening time, you will see many office workers coming by here to drink to their heart's content after a day of hard work!

Well, it offers another aspect of the underground shopping mall!

There are several malls in Nagoya CBD but from afar this mall stands out due to the presence of the ferris wheel on its façade and it is a functional one!

Inside, there are cafes, department stores and the ubiquitous display of LV handbags and accessories. I couldn't find anything interesting here to be honest.

This is one of the several underground shopping streets located underground of Sakae Station, in Sakae, Naka Ward, in Nagoya.

It consists of seven sections, North first Street, North second Street, Central first Street and South from first to fourth totaling four Streets. There are a great variety of stores, from restaurants, cafes, bakeries to grocery stores, fashion, lifestyle and book stores, general stores and pharmacies etc.

On the day of our visit at around 4pm, it was a Monday and surprisingly, a great number of stores were closed and so it was not crowded unlike other shopping streets that were crowded with people all day long.

And most shops were similar to that of other shopping streets (without key anchor stores) and so we walked around for about an hour and decided to go back to Nagoya station, that have more things to see, shop and dine. But it will be a good place to take a shelter should it rains or shine brightly since it's airconditioned!

And it took less than 10mins to reach there (2 stations @ 230yen).
