What travellers are saying
- Marcus NappaDenver, NC6 contributionsVery nice but the personel and locals kind of suck, but really love the bahamas. The locals try to scam you every minute of the day.Written 26 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TRACEY W1 contributionBlue Lagoon Island was amazing!!! The staff was incredible from the time we got off our boat until our departure. Crystal one of the staff was EXCEPTIONALl! She was caring funny and attentive to myself and now fiancé!! She was part of my proposal their 1/26/23 and I couldn't ask for a better host to share with as well as the remaining staff they all made it so beautiful and surprising. I thank them enough for that day!Written 31 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Wombling_Free_7548Bristol, UK1,836 contributionsWorth paying one of the guides to give you some of the history. It’s quite atmospheric to stand at the bottom of the steps. Walk from the port is nice too, as you get to see more of Nassau.Written 20 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jurelie JLas Vegas, NV7 contributionsNice beach. When I visited this beach there were a lot of people, which I didn't like so much. If you want a chair you will have to be early in the morning, but still had a great time. I wouldn't give this beach a 5 star review because of the fact that it's to crowded and I couldn't get a chair.Written 8 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - traveltips621Vancouver Island, Canada73 contributionsThe government bought this land from a private owner to preserve this important piece of historical land from being developed into a resort. Please support this project by visiting this place and learning about the history of the slaves brought to the Bahamas and the plan to rehabilitate the marine area.
I sent a contact message asking about being picked up from our VRBO. I included the phone number and my email for our place that is supposed to have a phone. Unfortunately the phone number was used to try and contact us several times including when they drove to pick us up.
We made our own way to the park. When we explained what happened they went above and beyond to compensate us. We were given a complimentary beer and meal and only had to pay for our return trip and the two tours.
I enjoyed a snorkelling tour and my husband went on the cultural tour. I wish I had time to do both.Written 1 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mmarro2001Sunrise, FL263 contributionsOur cruise ship dropped us off in Nassau for the day. We we wandering around the streets and spontaneously ran into the pirate museum. We really had a great time! It was fun to walk around seeing the displays and learning about all of the famous pirates, including the lady pirates!Written 24 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NewfieGirl83St. John's, Canada27 contributionsThe gardens were very natural and the kids loved exploring all the little paths. The animals and shows were very cool! - xtina989Seattle, WA14 contributionsWe went during lunch time on a Wednesday and very few places were open. May be more lively on weekends or when a cruise ship is docked. Not much to do beyond this 2 -3 block stretch of restaurants and a few souvenir stalls. But there are places to park, a public restroom building centrally located across the street (none in restaurants), and driveable to downtown and beaches.
The restaurant we went to gave large portions! Know that you may be able to share a dish between 2 people for most dishes priced over $20 per plate.Written 14 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The trainer brought us out into the sea lion area and Bonnie swam back and forth, allowing us to touch her back, she showed us her fingernails (yes, sea lions have fingernails) and her teeth. She clapped her flippers when we clapped for her and smiled. The trainer obviously has worked a lot with Bonnie. After the encounter in the water, we went onto land and posed for photos. Yes, the photos are overpriced, and yes, I felt compelled to buy a photo because it's just so darn sweet, but I had such a great time that I didn't mind. Highly recommend this activity on Blue Lagoon Island!Written 4 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - msgee39Toronto, Canada73 contributionsWell worth the visit, both for the exhibits - which always feature Bahamian artists - and the historic building the museum is in. After the museum, be sure to visit the landscaped garden to admire the local flowers and fauna.Written 9 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
