- Normaisa2 contributionsI loved to visit the place Frida Kahlo lived. There are some of her early work exhibited, but no later work. Her garden was so beautiful.
I did not like that I had to buy the tickets from a tourist company that doubled the entrance price to $30.00 per person, I was not able to buy it from the museum’s website directly, as it would not complete my purchase.
The entrance fee also included a visit to Diego Rivera’s studio but I did not have a working phone to scan the QR code to get the directions to the location. I definitely recommend seeing Teotihuacan with a guide. Alone you won’t know what you’re looking at. The early access was super nice because we beat the crowds and the temperature was cooler in the morning. I could have done without the tourist trap at the end. The food was only okay and it was a little too long. We started our morning on a memorable hot air balloon ride, followed with breakfast at a local restaurant. We then did a tequila/agave tour at the restaurant. Then finally walked Teotihuacan pyramids. I recommend comfortable walking shoes, water*, a hat and a small backpack.

Eloy was our guide on foot around the ruins of Teotihuacan and was a wealth of knowledge. We then continued on with a bike ride to a cave, then continued on to Mezcal tasting and finished with lunch. - WeiLexington, MA18 contributionsCarlos and Christian are an amazing tour guide duo for Mexico City and its surrounding historic sites. As we left Mexico City, we started our day at the El Angel sculpture, stopped by the Palacio de Bellas Artes, glimpsed a view of the Catedral Metropolitana, and visited the Tlatelolco archaeological site.
The tour of Teotihuacan was very educational and interesting, between the pyramids of the Sun and Moon and learning of the migration of people from the Mayans to the Aztecs. The drive to and from the pyramids was smooth, and we had time to stop for lunch at La Higuera before heading to the Basilica de Guadalupe. We marveled at Our Lady of Guadalupe and the vastness of the church, along with visiting the myriad of other churches in the vicinity.
Throughout our trip, Carlos shared his vast knowledge through captivating storytelling, and even joked with us about US idiosyncrasies. He was an immaculate host, and Christian was incredible behind the wheel. - Noemi M1 contributionIt was a fantastic experience! Me and my family enjoyed it a lot and learned so much. Our guide Ligia was wonderful: Easy pick up and drop off at our AirBnB, pleasant ride. A lot of insights and knowledge were provided during the whole trip–even hats to protect us from the intense sun! Ligia did a great job tailoring her tour to suit us and we didn't have to worry about anything. We brought sandwiches for lunch and she showed us a beautiful picnic area next to the botanical garden and museum.

Giovanni and Monserrat were wonderful tour guides with Monserrat navigating the behind the wheel part of the tour and Giovanni providing us with all the information we could have asked for (and more!!) His deep interest and knowledge in Mesoamerican history and culture was amazing! - Briana A1 contributionOverall this was an amazing trip, great people, the tour guides were great, I went on a weekday so it wasn’t packed at all. My main issue was that I requested an English tour guide and didn’t get one. I saw in a previous review that someone was promised an English speaking tour guide and didn’t get one, so the day before I specifically asked the company will there be an English tour guide and they said yes. I do not blame the tour guide on this but the company itself. Thankfully there was a girl on the trip who could translate but we weren’t in the same car so the things that we were passing by I didn’t know everything, the tour guide tried his best to use a translator tool, but still was limiting. - Sally S5 contributionsWe thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Jimena as our tour guide and the two families who joined us, as well as Enya! The afternoon flowed perfectly from a Oaxacan restaurant to Mercado San Juan and several cantinas, ending with a perfect candy stop. We highly recommend this tour for all visiting Mexico City for all its culinary and cultural delights! Jimena taught us lots about the culinary local history as well as cultural local history! A perfect afternoon in the Centro neighborhood. We tried so many different foods and were very satisfied at the end.
