    Amazing Murals
    A beautiful restored castle, with really very extensive displays of frescoes and murals. Well worth a visit along with the other similar quality castles in this region

    Review of: Cantina del Borgo
    A chance encounter to remember :)
    We visited Castello di Torrechiara, but it was closed since we came too late in the afternoon. We didn't know about Cantina del Borgo. There we met Giuseppe and started a conversation about castle, food... We ended up in his cantina tasting wines which were all very very nice! Of course we bought some wine and now we are still enjoying them in Croatia. Thank you very much Giuseppe!

    A Taste of Parma
    A Lovely winery, just outside the city of Parma.
    (We got there as a part of the “Food & Wine” tour).
    I’m not a big fan of sparkling wines, even they claimed to be “the great sparkling wines in the world” it’s just Lambrusco, very simple wine. The restaurant is another story, beautiful view from the terrace, excellent Parma Ham, Parmesan Tortellini ….upgrades the simple local wins to real experience.

    Review of: Salumeria Gardoni
    Wonderful place to learn about Parma ham and Parmesan cheese
    This salumeria is a family run business, operating for more than 100 years. They offer the choicest cuts from local artisans and excellent insight into production and serving techniques. We received samples of generous proportions and warm, friendly service. This was one of the few places open in the afternoon and not requiring a prior booking. It’s a short drive from Parma.

    Interesting family factory, try to aim for a day during 'production'
    As per other reviews, nice to see the hams in different stages. Sadly no action in the production itself so little to see..interesting it was

    Review of: Assapor@ppennino
    Wonderful!
    We were thrilled with our three days of guided biking. The guides were knowledgeable, passionate, warm and responsible. We climbed some challenging hills to visit prosciutto and Parmesan factories as well as a small-scale apple cider producer. We ate generous portions of the delicious products at all stops, which helped fuel us along. (The cycling can be modified to suit the rider, by the way.) We toured the Torrechiata castle, and cycled through vineyards and across fields. We had a hands-on lesson in how to make the local speciality--tortelli--and got to eat the results. This was wonderful enough but the bonus of time with our guides was connecting with local people and getting a glimpse of Italian life we would probably not see otherwise. Agata and Valeria were very hospital and helpful.

    Review of: Rocca di Valle di Castrignano o corte Campelli
    Amazing and lovely stay
    We had a lovely and welcoming stay. We enjoyed our time at the hotel. It was very calm and the rooms were prepared with attention to detail. The degustation of the famous Parmigiana-Reggiano was one of our favorite experiences during our stay. We miss the taste of a good parmesan already ;) The restaurant recommandations from Elena gave us a real taste about the local Italian food.
    We appreciated the helpful recommandations and support. It was an amazing stay! :)
