When on the road I love going to Farmers Markets...always looking for delicious treats and different things.
This market did not disappoint...lots of food items as well as gift/craft items.
It was downtown, plenty of free parking on a Saturday morning.
Was able to get some Wild Rice.

This mall has sucked all of the life out of downtown Regina - you really won't find any retail stores along any of the downtown streets. The two story mall has many of the usual chain stores, most of which are uninteresting. It has a sterile feel which is not helped by the number of empty stores. No need to visit unless you're absolutely desperate to kill some time.

We were looking for (UNPAINTED) antique end tables or something we could use as such. We found two pieces that worked for us.

The use of skylights makes it sunny and bright. The food court has ample seating with enough food choices (Chinese, Japanese, A & W, Trifons, Subway, Orange Julius). There is also a Dairy Queen in the mall. Large stores include Safeway, Lowes and Fabricland. There is a good selection of clothing stores, a shoe store and jewellery stores. If you are shopping for gifts, there are a variety of gift shops, kiosks and the Rider Store. There are also some vacancies. Many services are available including beauty salons and medical centres (dental, vision, doctors). There is seating in different areas and some rides for children. The informative website is kept up to date.
For a few days part of the parking lot is transformed into a circus (July) and an Amusement Fair with a midway (June).

Pull out your Air Miles card to visit Safeway and plan your flight. Food court always has lots of tasty options. Lots of other stores and kiosks to look after your shopping needs

We attended a small concert at the Slate Art Gallery last week. Featured entertainers were Blake Berglund followed by Twin Peaks. Blake is a country & western singer from Saskatchewan who writes his own material. He has a great voice with fun stories between songs. Twin Peaks are two young women from northern B.C. who also write much of their own material. These girls are great singers & musicians, also with hilarious back & forth banter between songs. A very entertaining evening!!

This little gallery had a great exhibit about artists using natural evolving materials. The docent was very informative.

The malls cornerstone store is a giant Canadian tire. Other decent stores are Atmosphere, Marks and Sport Chek. Good food court and a nice variety of independent shops plus a branch of the Regina Public Library. Close to a lot of restaurants and easy access off Albert Street, Ribg Road and highways #1 and 6

There was one exhibition filling the gallery’s one room, a number of almost surrealistic paintings by David Dreher. Photographs and small paintings by two members were hung along an outside wall. Less than half an hour and we were done.

Prices are the same as any airport, way more than it should be. Decent selection but short hours. Defiantly should be open later.

When walking around the city we came across this shop. It was full with wall to wall of candy. Lots of options.

As a frequent customer of Willow Park in Calgary, I was thrilled when they opened the first private liquor store in Regina.

Hands down, you cannot beat the selection of their products. They have a wide variety of spirits, beer and most importantly, great wine in every price range.

The staff are knowledgable and are able to offer suggestions on gifts and finding that perfect bottle of wine to go with that great meal.

They also offer classes which vary from wine pairing to craft cocktail tastings. The classes are very inexpensive and a lot of fun!
