What travellers are saying
- PeteTuggerah, Australia126 contributionsChose to visit Railay Beach as a spur of the moment. Organised via one of the many tourist popup stores on the side of the road. Ticket included transfer to boat but not back which was a little annoying for everyone in our Long Boat. The dock was also out of action which made getting in and out of the Long Boat a challenge. My wife hurt her ankle quite badly on the return as the ladder was missing covering on one of the steps. Weather was poor but we had several hours of dry weather and had the chance for a swim before a thunderstorm hit. Had a beautiful lunch at Railay Corner Restaurant. Spotted plenty of monkeys in the trees and got some great photos. Ride back on long boat was rough and needed to climb in while in the surf.
Overall a very good day.Written 15 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Beware to use appropiate shoes.
From the viewpoint you have a great view of the whole area of West and East Railay beach. The lagoon is also worth a visit. Maybe it's the only place there without any noise.

It was fairly busy when we got there so would recommend trying to get there as early as it’s light really. The hike there is almost more like a scramble/climb. If you aren’t physically able to lift yourself etc I would recommend the hike and there are some parts you have to climb/lower yourself with rope. We really enjoyed the hike and the lagoon again was beautiful. Probably my favourite thing I’ve done at Railay!Written 24 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Anita RosalehTaipei, Taiwan1,325 contributionsThe most happening street in Railay connecting the beach side from West Railay to the East Railay . Full of cute restaurants, tourists travel agents, rock climbing shops, bars and coffee shops, little beach shops, minimarts, pharmacies, massages shops, two paid restrooms, even a small clinic. Everything you might need for your stay. The restaurants here have blackout when it rains heavily last time when I was here on 2017 and they still do now in the end of 2023 but it doesn’t spoil the fun.Written 24 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We spent a few hours there, had amazing food and drinks, friendly service from the family running the place and enjoyed the view on New Year’s Day. - Erin AChiang Mai, Thailand15 contributionsDWS in the low season is a gamble, so don't come expecting it. We were so glad to catch a lucky day and do it, but it took 3 days of showing up and asking every morning.
We did a half day climb while we waited for better wave conditions and the guide was great. A bit skeezy (commenting about bikini wearing beach goers), but the climbing was good.
We also stayed in their forest resort for 3 nights, which was CHEEEEEAP. Be ready for cold showers, pokey beds, and power for only a few hours per day.Written 14 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
