Amazing spot with the perfect combination of blue skies, green mountains, and turquoise waters. Snorkeling is great (no strong currents since it's a bay) and FREE, the best part is that the show is just for you! Bring your own gear and have fun. Don't forget to enjoy a coconut or too while enjoying the view. Unfortunately this beach has no sand. (Lots of stones and sharp dead coral pieces lay along the shore. Make sure to wear flip flops to avoid hurting your feet)The locals have built some huts with tables and benches so you can sit and enjoy the view.

I went for solo diving in Asia island for the first time. My friends recomended me Air dive alor. I contacted Air Dive Center in Alor and everything was taken care of perfectly. Helpful information and recommendations made the trip very easy. The room was pleasantly surprised. Spacious, cleaned every day. The food was amazing, varied, fresh, excellent. Well maintained equipment, very professional organization of the whole day with 2 or 3 dives. I have been diving for 13 years and I have never seen such abundance and beauty of the underwater world. I sincerely recommend you to visit to experience it and see with your own eyes. It's imposible to decribe.

Come to Alor expecting pristine Indonesian dive sites, 30m visibility or more, dive depths from 5m to the deep blue, water temps from 17-29C, currents from zero to ripping, from any direction at any time. Worth it? Yes indeed! I dived it first in 2012 and again three weeks ago. Both times I chose Donovan Whitford for his knowledge, expertise, and organization, and I'd do it again. When you can do these gorgeous dives with someone who actually pioneered Alor diving 30 years ago, named many (most) of the dive sites, and can shepherd you through these currents likely better and safer than anyone else, why would you do otherwise?

It was an incredible stay and dive with Nautika! Wish I have chosen a 10D package instead of my 6D hah. Which led me to plan my next dive trip after I landed 🤭
    1) Hansen, the resort owner, came across as sincere and trusting. This is the reason I decided on Nautika over other dive centers.
    2) The subsequent 6D stay and dive proved my decision to be correct and the journey (12 hours and 3 flights) was worth it.
    3) The entire team led by Hansen is amazing! They created a homey and comfy ambience at the resort. The other divers were equally friendly. I went alone but I felt like I was with family and friends. The staff would dine chat with us. Hansen would occasionally join us when he has the time. A few of us (staff and divers) chatted joked laughed drank every night when I was there.
    4) Alor sea is known for its current and I just finished my OW. But seeing my determination to practice, Hansen was very kind to take me and provided a guide for my fun dives. On my first day, I felt so protected in the water with my guide and other instructors around 🤗 easing my nervousness.
    5) My guide - Bagas is the best ever ! 🙏🏼 He was patient and sensitive to my discomfort underwater. This is important for a new diver to continue diving and to improve in this sports. To name a few examples,
~ He would hold on to me while I was clearing my mask in the beginning. Otherwise I will be sinking or floating upwards.
~ I was feeling uncomfortable underwater (due to the waves rocking the boat during surface interval) he would hold on to me again for some time while I moved effortlessly underwater giving me time for discomfort to clear.
~ Like an attentive teacher, he would signal me to deflate or inflate my BCD to achieve that neutral buoyancy. Eventually I succeeded in my last few dives.
~ Most importantly he would constantly check on me to see if I am ok.
    6) Lastly, the entire dive crew was very helpful on the boat.
    ~ Before diving
They helped me wear my diving gear, my fins etc. I felt like I was a baby 😬
    ~ After diving
I will remove my tank, my fins, all equipment first in the water and passed them to the crew.
I just climbed up the ladder into the boat.
    ~ On the boat
There was hot towel for the face.
Cold jelly, tasty snacks, individual water bottle and hot beverages for the stomach.
    Big towel to dry ourselves
Overall it was a memorable experience for a new diver like me
Thank You Hansen , Bagas and the rest of the team 🥰

I intentionally visited Alor only for diving. I dived with Lazy Turtle Dive Alor in June for 6 days, 3 dives per day and one night dive. In total, I did 19 dives. Can't wait to revisit.

Diving with Lazy Turtle was one of my best diving holidays. Tamar was so sweet.
From the beginning, she always replied to my messages and queries. She arranged hotel booking, airport transfers and transport from the hotel to Lazy Turtle and from Lazy Turtle back to the hotel. In sum, she had arranged everything. I stayed at Simfony hotel. If I have a chance to revisit Alor, I would like to stay at Marangki Bunglows on Kepa Island. The Bungalows are managed by Lazy Turtle.

The dive trips were great as there were a small number of divers. It was only me and Tamar for 4 days. The other 2 days, there were another 2 divers. I really enjoyed the beauty and super healthy coral reefs of Alor. Tamar was attentive and good listener. She has a great amount of knowledge about Alor's dive sites and marine life. We did two morning dives and had lunch typically on Kepa Island. Snacks during the break were delicious. Food was yummy.

I liked all the dive sites I visited. Top three on my list are the Edge, Bakalang Jetty, and Kepa Corner. Despite visiting the Yellow Corner twice, I didn't have much luck to encounter any hammerheads. First time in my life that I saw bamboo shark eggs and stargazers.

I highly recommend Lazy Turtle Dive Alor. I will also dive with Lazy Turtle Dive again should I revisit Alor. I didn't dive with Nico this time. Hopefully, I will be able to dive with him in my next visit.

Thomas runs his operation with lots of precision. From the hotel pick up time to the expected time of arrival back to the hotel, everything is spot on. Thomas is really a serious guy but sometimes if you're lucky, you might encounter his jokes. His team members are also hardworking and very friendly. Diving is his passion, so he knows his stuff. He will guide you around and show you the critters you're looking for if you ask him.
