In fact the information inside made it clear it was overwhelmingly welcoming. Funny or poignant stories on the notice board, local events in the village, obvious signs of active use by different groups in the local community. Just wonderful.
On a religious site that has been in existence for over 1200 years with a great founding story. What a knowledgeable forager who is nor scared to pass on here skills. I am an on off forrager and have been for a long timme and learned so much.
After the walk we ate some of our spoils and great treats that were pre made for us. A feast of theree courses, such a delight. So good also to meet like minded folk.
The spa was good, facilities tremendous, I thought swimming in the quarry would be freezing---wrong!
