- CurrymacYarmouth, Canada52 contributionsA true artists cooperative, on Yarmouth's harbourfront, the Yarmouth Waterfront Gallery boasts an extremely diverse collection of art works from a wide variety if disciplines from painting to photography to jewelry to fabric work. One of the coop members is always on hand to help you. A great place to visit on purpose, because of inclement weather, or if you're just waiting for the ferry. Free high speed WiFi too! Two thumbs up!Written 16 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Blair MHalifax, Canada221 contributionsOf all the years I have been visiting Yarmouth, we have never visited the Art Gallery before. It is a small art gallery, but has a good selection of paintings. We were mainly interested in the selection of Maud Lewis paintings which was nice to view. I know there are a several excellent artists in the Yarmouth area, but unfortunately, this gallery lacks local artists other than the Maud Lewis paintings. Oddly, we viewed a better selection of local artists at a gallery (free admission) on the waterfront where they were sold.Written 24 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cory L1 contributionI visited Yaciuk's for the first time this past weekend, and I must say, I was very impressed. I was there to pick up a number of items that I had viewed online. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the owner, David and given a complete tour of his shoppe. All of the items were displayed with care and detail - the barn itself, was also a highlight. My items were packed in a box for me to take home with immense love and care.Written 7 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karing OOntario, Canada19 contributionsStopped here while visiting Yarmouth with friends. The shop has a great selection of quality items from sweaters, tams, blankets, scarves, tartan fabric, books, purses and more. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. The shop keeper was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Glad we choose to stop in and shop. Definitely worth a visit!Written 2 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MoonshadowerSaint Louis, MO151 contributionsOne of few remaining fish canneries in North America, this plant offers afternoon tours three days a week affording the visitor the opportunity to follow the brining, smoking and canning of herring and kippers, and the can-making process. Well maintained equipment from the 1960s allows a close up view of the entire procedure. This is a hands-on factory where people still participate in various parts of the line. Our guide (who worked in quality control) was knowledgable and gave a thorough tour. Those who are hard of hearing may struggle to follow the dialogue in noisier areas of the plant. You will be in wet areas at times so consider your footwear.Written 7 August 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
