- Simon CMunich, Germany213 contributionsI hiked from Pian di Venola railway station up to the remains of the village Caprara di Sotto (90 minutes, also possible to drive a car up to here), then another 30 minutes up to Monte Sole. At both of these points there is a good view, but not all around because of the trees. At the cross, 500m down the road from Caprara di Sotto I found the start of a walk along the road to the Casetta cemetery with audio downloadable from the internet, so I followed that too (photo of the signboard attached).Written 14 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tranquil41Morpeth, UK81 contributionsThis was a delightful find. We had our dog so thought we woudn't be able to access it but in true Italian style it was relaxed and fine. It was a Sunday and it was very quiet. We took some info from the office on the sites we were looking at and walked marvelling at the age of some of the finds and trying to imagine life in 650 BC. The weather was beautiful and the land the remains are on was a pleasure to walk in. My partner looked in the museum afterwards but we didnt have a lot of time. Definitely worth a stop if your in the area its cheap to visit and so interesting the revelations and lives of the Etruscans.Written 27 October 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
