What travellers are saying
- JPYLondon, UK580 contributionsI was worried that this was not going to live up to my dreams of visiting, worrying that it’d would be a tourist trap and not worth the money. I shouldn’t have been concerned as it was fantastic. From the moment you arrive in the car park the staff organised your experience expertly. The site is a true spectacle and is definitely worthwhile seeing with your own eyes. I loved learning about the history of the theatre and what’s it currently does in the present day. It is also dog friendly! The views of the surrounding coastline are amazing too. Pre booking is essential.Written 17 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Yvonne CFalmouth, UK24 contributionsTremenheer is one of the most beautiful and inspiring gardens in Cornwall. Its steep topography, tropical planting, abundance of sculptures and stunning views to St Michaels mount can only serve to lift your spirits and make you want to return. Unlike many gardens this one just keeps getting better with continuous new planting, installations and superb hard landscaping. You visit to the gardens is then complimented by the "Chelsea" award winning succulent shop, quirky gift emporium and great art gallery. No visit is complete without a visit to the wonderful Tremenheer Kitchen. This has a loyal local following so be sure to book in advance.Written 9 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LClaytonFalmouth, UK56 contributionsWe love Tanglewood!! These gardens are beautiful, relaxing & charming! There is something new to explore around every corner. There are games and treasures to keep children entertained; from tyre swings, to giant chess & hidden statues! The ducks are super friendly and even ate from our hand. The cake from the cake hut was yummy and tea in a real mug!! I really can’t recommend this place enough- it is a real hidden gem. My 8 year old son told me today (whilst lying on a net in the trees), “This place makes my heart happy”. That says it all 💕Written 8 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- s1g3ann3dvll5 contributionsThis wonderful museum and art gallery has the most superb exhibitions of classical and more modern Cornish painters. This is art-work to open your eyes to the beauty of the light, the history and the community. The children's activities make it enjoyable for all ages. The gift shop is charming and the cafe has very tasty 'homemade' food - their salads and cakes are delicious.Written 10 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark RExeter, UK22 contributionsAwesome wine tour at this Cornish vineyard. Excellent value for money from an educational & wine tasting point of view. Bronwyn the guide was very knowledgable & it was very relaxed.Written 8 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - spidwidPenzance, UK279 contributionsThis is a great example of a little village, a very important heritage site. you can even go underground in like a little cave building which I believed MAY! have held cattle. The views are absolutely stunning. I am disappointed because this used to be free to visit. I also understand however, that maintaining the village and the heritage is very important. The site is now run by English heritage therefore, you have to pay. I think that is sad. The site is out of the way and not easy to find. I definitely think if you are in the area go visit, as you won’t be disappointed.Written 18 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul FChesterfield, UK4,982 contributionsWe walked this section to Penzance and back on a fairly windy Sunday in the dry! It was fantastic with stunning views to the Mount and towards Penzance.
Clean and dry, with a walk on the beach as the tide was on its way out. Really pleasant although some dog owners ought to know better and keep an eye out for their dogs fouling!Written 18 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul FChesterfield, UK4,982 contributionsWe did the 3 mile circular walk taking in not only Men an Tol but other prehistoric sites and the wheel house. Parking was easy and the walk although in the trail suggested a steep climb....we thought it very easy going and full of Summer colour! Take a camera and relax it's a fabulous setting with views of both coasts.Written 30 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
