- adjsmith1970London, UK15 contributionsWe spent a lovely afternoon at the Butterfly farm and visiting the otters. The venue was clean and tidy and welcoming. A little expensive but offers good concessions for the elderly and disabled.Written 23 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Voyager668576209742 contributionsWhat a lovely place to go. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The cafe was reasonably priced, with good food The toilets were very clean.
The waterfall walk was strenuous but well worth the effort.
The car park was well managed, and the site is well signposted.
We returned home feeling it was a lovely day out, and very good value.Written 1 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This was well set up and organised. We took our foster niece who is 5 and half months old, to see father Christmas. He and his elves were very jolly and friendly. The Cathedral is very beautiful, tranquil, peaceful and very calm. We always go in there and spend some time in the quiet area. The whole place is disabled friendly, I have a walker and there is enough room to get comfortably around the whole place. We love it here.Written 29 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- J K5 contributionsSo much to do here it’s really worth the visit.
Went as a day visitor and didn’t leave until gone 5pm.
The whole park was very clean and staff helpful and welcoming.
Took a picnic and treated to an icecream.
Highlight for child was swimming in the lake and the pirate ship. Tip would be to remember swim stuff for whole family including swim / beach shoes.
Some activities are paid for but there really is enough to do without doing any of those.
We did the canoeing which was £12.50 for 30 mins, slightly high price but pretty much expected and matches what other places charge for same sort of thing.
The only points I would highlight is some bits need a little TLC as wear is starting to show like the larger slides and spider web. The charge for a dog is excessive and so that would be my only real negative.Written 28 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Toilets at reception clean and tidy. The weather was superb so we did not visit the castle itself but took the longer of the walks around the estate through the Teign Valley Gorge. Beautiful views. Forested walk and also along the Riverside. Paths a little steep in places. Surprisingly few people seen along the way. Less litter and dog faeces (both in bags and just out in the open) than seen the last time we did the walk. Still too much though.Written 20 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Island_AndrewRyde, UK82 contributionsIt doesn’t look too impressive from outside but it has a mass of information and artefacts inside. As part of a group we were given a short history of the prison and this really helped to interpret what was in the museum. They have some fascinating exhibits but the general visitor may find it difficult to navigate, but persevere, it’s telling an important story. There is no cafe, and only portaloo toilets, but the museum is well worth a visit.Written 29 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mase192Seaford, UK63 contributionsPaid £33.50 for 2 adults and 1x13yo, 1x14yo. Lots of people on here say it is overpriced, but I actually thought it was worth the money!! Broken down, that's about £8 per person (used a discount code found in a Devon Attractions leaflet) which isn't bad in my book. We did the red and blue trail which were perfectly long enough and be prepared to clamber over some boulders!! Definitely not suitable for those of low mobility and make sure you wear suitable shoes!! A family run attraction and the animals (goats, meercats, owl, parrot, snakes) add to the interest. If you are in the area, check it out, we all enjoyed it!!Written 27 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We unexpectedly joined a tour group after unintentionally gate crashing the tour
Andrew the guide for the Abbey was very knowledgeable, friendly and thorough , it was a pleasure to have him shoe us around ( we did confess to gate crashing at the end of the tour 🙄) Thank you to everyone at the Abbey for a lovely dayWritten 29 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - denisetaylorSt John-in-Cornwall, UK282 contributionsA beautiful old 16 hundreds oak wood. It is magical. We have been several times as we are local. So we saw it before it was closed. It’s closed to protect the wood and regeneration. Still worth going there though as you can see it really well.Written 18 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
