What travellers are saying
- Paul A3 contributionsLovely little cinema in a Lynton where we enjoyed watching TopGun on a wet afternoon. Only £5 per ticket which was a bargain! Roomy comfortable seats and well worth a visit.Written 5 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- annaBasingstoke, UK69 contributionsWoody Bay is well worth a visit and try to go on the steam train if you can, the views are amazing. Lots of walks around Woody Bay to just stunning although steep at times but worth itWritten 6 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- tschock_tschockCoventry34 contributionsLynton Toy Museum is a must visit if you are in the area. I honestly wasn’t expecting such a wonderful collection, something from most eras and toys set up in small exhibitions. So many wonderful memories, and a small shop with items for sale. The owner is friendly, and clearly knows his stuff. Don’t miss if you are visiting Lynton!Written 23 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Geoff KMere, UK337 contributionsLovely place just to look really...we had done an already walk and decided to do this hill also... worth it!Written 5 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- flutefairyBorough of Brentwood, UK444 contributionsThe Lyn & Exmoor museum is a small museum of local history in an old house (supposedly complete with a ghost) in Lynton town centre. I dare say it will seem much more interesting to those who live locally but may not be so appealing to outsiders. However, if one is interested in social history (or the Lynmouth flood disaster) and happen to be in the town with about half hour to spare then this museum is worth a visit, I would not recommend it for young children however.Written 21 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lucy lCoventry, UK12 contributionsPart of the Lorna Doone trail on Exmoor. Sit quietly as the water tumbles over the rocks beneath the bridge. Absorb the history of the place. The old stone bridge made many years ago. Nooks and crannies created by weathering day in day out. Feel the spirits of those long gone.Written 5 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MalcHLoughborough, UK2,731 contributionsNot sure I’ve seen picnic benches in a graveyard before, but it’s going to church is perched high up on the cliff edge with fabulous views down to the harbour below.Written 28 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Paul FChesterfield, UK2,065 contributionsThis is a lovely place to visit with very good quality Art, Glass and Ceramics. Colour is put to good use in the pictures and some of the sea scapes were very good indeed.Written 28 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BobBonHereLytham St Anne's, UK2,314 contributionsCompared to the very rocky 'beaches' at Lynmouth, this beach is delightful although you have to be serious about spending some time here to make the effort of getting down the cliff and then back up again- worthwhile.Written 21 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- jansteve_8Isle of Wight, UK344 contributionsWe stumbled across this little church after a visit to the Blue Ball Inn for lunch. A beautiful country church full of old world charm surrounded by stunning scenery.Written 21 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Geoff KMere, UK337 contributionsLovely walk here, worth the hike of about 2 miles for us... the weather can change quickly and we were glad we had waterproofs. But not for long then hot again. Worth a visit.Written 5 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RichardLlandybie, UK402 contributionsLovely, very large craft shop. Loads of items to see and buy. Well laid out with pleasant staff. Large car park nearby. A shopping experience not to be missed.Written 20 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gillicus1 contributionI had a fantastic one-to-one trek with Charlie. We were blessed with perfect weather and the scenery was stunning. Being a nervous novice, Charlie was brilliant and tailored the ride exactly to my ability. I rode Bryn and he was beautiful and wonderful to ride - a completely different experience to riding in a school-setting on school ponies which has been my only recent experience before this.
I can't wait to visit again in the spring.Written 13 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - k21586London, UK24 contributionsVisited on a very wet and windy day in Lynton! Warm and friendly welcome when we entered the shop. We have been buying from here for a few years now and stock up when we come down on holiday. All the candles are excellent quality and smell divine, there’s a huge selection which are all made on the premises. We didn’t get any wax melts this time as we still have loads but they are great too. Lovely service, excellent products reasonably priced, well worth a visit to support an amazing local business.Written 17 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
