We paid for the guided tour and it was well worth it. The tour guide was very informative and friendly. He was eager to answer any questions that we had.

Go there. Eat the food (The Pie Shop is very good value). Watch the street entertainers. It's brilliant.

The view from the shard over London was amazing and we really enjoyed that aspect of the attraction. The two lifts up and down are really quick and don't feel like your moving that fast! But be warned if your selfie stick turns into a tripod you won't be able to take it up as it could be trip hazard, eventhough you wouldn't be able to use it as a tripod as it wouldn't be tall enough and there is nothing to put it on...! But when we got up there people had suitcases and people left bags on the floor and had walked off from them, which are more of a trip hazard, jusy seems a very strange rule...... We were up their about 1.5 hours.

This is a lovely large area of London, with of course Nelson's Column. Great to use as a meeting place, as its easy to find for all. A must visit.

I realize it's an over priced way to do it- and quite touristy, but we really enjoyed our London Eye experience. I think it was about $40 p/p - we arrived at 5pm on purpose so we would get on at 5:30pm (they close at 6pm) and get a bit of the sunset in October. It's a capsule with about 25 of your new closest friends. They do have a bench for about 15 people to sit, but most of us were standing on either side of the capsule to take glorious photos. It lasts about 25 minutes.

This is a lovely railway station, in London, easy to navigate, for onward journeys, and well worth taking the time to look around.

Going up to London to meet a friend I hadn’t seen for ages, we decided to meet at Brick Lane as we’d never been.

It’s full of arty shops, jewellery, graffiti and of course the famous Indian restaurants. When we got hungry we just walked into the nearest one. The food was delicious.

Probably the most interesting part of London I’ve been to and would love to go again. Maybe for some one off Christmas presents.
    I recommend a visit.

The last of the old mod shops and now closed and Carnaby St (or Carnaby as it is now called to encompass Ganton St and Foubert Place) is now full of High Street shops like Barbour, Dr Martins, etc.

Nice enough for a stroll but if you’re looking for history do t bother.

The Mews was a highlight of our London visit, in part because it was so easy to see! Just a short walk from the Palace (good to do the two together), there was no line to enter and no real crowd (later that same day we were with hundreds of other people entering the Palace). There is a great audio tour which explains the history and significance of each of the carriages and shows times when each carriage was used for official royal purposes. One walks through the horse stables (we saw just one) and sees the courtyard area around the stables and the residences of the keepers. It doesn't take long, so plan about 30-45 minutes. There's a small gift shop at the end. If it is hot, take a bottle of water as it is quite sunny and hot. Happily, this was the only place in all of London that I encountered a water vending machine (as of Aug '22)!

Peaceful little oasis in the city, this is a really nice place to visit with some great curves in the ruins and lovely planting. It doesn't take long to look around and is a great little extra to visiting the general area.
