    I love it! Take it everywhere I can. Rush our is to be avoided. NYC can learn something from them. I could just sit all day and read and watch people but alas I am have a fellow traveler.

    I usually arrive at St Pancras when I visit London and it's easily become my favourite train station of London. Not only is its architecture beautiful, but there is a wide selection of small versions of shops, take aways, places to eat, food shops, drugstore... You can easily find everything you need and quite some places stay open until late (you need to double check opening hours though to be sure). I find it so easy to navigate and because it's so spacious it's fine even if crowded.
    There are also free public toilets.
    Kings Cross station is just a minute walk away and also further nice and handy areas such as Granary Square and the surrounding area.
    Many tube lines run through St Pancras and this is so handy. It makes it possible to travel much faster and more easily and possibly directly.
    Before Christmas there is usually a lovely tree set up in the main hall - this year's book-tree is amazing!

    I love the structure of this station, is very impressive and easy to navigate. Here you will find the Harry Potter shop and a chance to get in line to pose for a photo at platform 9 3/4. I visited the Giraffe stop for a full English breakfast and a hot tea before my train. The only negative is its absolutely baltic so make sure to wrap up if your waiting around for your train for a while.

    Visited on Wednesday 23rd June 2021 As part of a day trip to London. Woolwich Ferry. It was still free and my first time on it since I went on it as part of the circular cycle around East London back in 2012. I exited the King George V DLR Station and walked the rather decrepit streets the short distance to the Woolwich Ferry. You can queue with your vehicle or walk under the Thames using the foot tunnel. I chose to queue and as there was only 1 of the 2 Ferrys in operation the time to wait was circa 20-30 mins. Once the Ferry was on my side, you could access the ferry and either stand in the open or the covered side seating area. The ferry takes about 10 mins to empty its vehicle and people contents and be refilled. The crossing takes about 10 mins and provides a free view down the Thames. Once in Woolwich, it is a similarly poor/decrepit area of now South London. Either way, unless you have a reason to use this free ferry there is little value to doing so.

    The Train (both ways) had plenty of seating available and was easy to navigate, at Gatwick Airport and London’s Victoria Station.

    It was comfortable and there were accessible charging points throughout. The journey was very direct, with only a few other stops each way.

    Although slightly pricey, accepted as I was aware of it’s access into the centre of London, I would happily use this service again, recommending it due to it’s simplicity of use.

    Spent about 3 hours each on a July weekday at Tate Britain and then Tate Modern. As a member eventually discovered the ferry times and the £7.50 fare. Had been keen to use the water link after seeing the older boat several years ago when it was painted in Tate livery with Damian Hirst coloured spots on the white saloon roof. But now it’s just the regular Clipper boats and the Millbank to Bankside is a slice of its regular run from I think from Richmond to Greenwich. Times were the same. But the fares were all to pot. When I got on they new nothing of the Tate fare and the best deal for me was ‘half price with a travel card’ which turned out to be just over a fiver. But it was a good trip, interesting views from the river, a bit busy but a convenient trip between the Tates neither of which are on a convenient bus link and both are a stiff walk from their respective tube stations at Pimlico and Southwark.

    In the last few months, Euston's concourse has had new train information boards installed. These will take some getting used to.

    My limited interactions with staff have been fine.

    The only annoying feature is that quite often, the platform barriers only open 10 minutes or less prior to the scheduled time of train departure.

    The delay/repay program seems to be a bit of a farce. Despite GWR repeatedly encouraging passengers to file for partial refunds when service is materially delayed, they don’t seem terribly committed to following through. My on-line claim was approved almost immediately and I was informed that a check would be mailed to me in the U.S. Four weeks passed with no refund so I followed up on-line to be told that a check had been mailed and must have been lost as it was going across the pond. Instead, the customer service representative asked for banking information in vernacular that was absolutely foreign to the U.S. banking process. I again asked for a replacement check or a credit to the Visa card used for the original purchase. No go. They insisted on personal banking information.

    It all seemed insincere happy talk to wear out my patience. Congrats GWR, it worked. You still have my money. They talk the talk, but….

    * Tube/underground station
    * Access to underground transport- the Piccadilly Line
    * Adjacent to Russell Square
    * The stop for the British Museum

    CONS
    * Rather nondescript functional station

    “ I VISITED THIS PLACE”…
    … on my return from an outstanding incredible visit at the spectacular British Museum, on my return to St. Pancras Station.

    What was amazing and significant Scott this station was that it was my first entry to the tube for this June2023 London visit

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST? Yes- the whole TfL is economically very good value

    ADVICES
    This is your tube stop for visiting the iconic massive British Museum

    Most uncomfortable seats! I still have an hour's journey left and My back is aching. Also there is no room to put Your feet down properly if You are in a window seat.

    We took the train from Sevenoaks to London bridge and back. With a travel card, this was almost £20 per person… the trains are crowded and dirty but at least they have wifi and charging stations. The stupidest thing is the ticket machines in Sevenoaks which won’t sell you an off peak ticket until the last peak train left the station. But you can queue and buy from the ticket counter. And you can pre buy online. Stupid policies that lead to huge queues at 9am at the human counter but 4 machines not being used. Dumb.

    I must say this is the worst system in the country….i commute daily and i can honestly say that 6 out of 10 journeys are either cancelled or delayed, they say they give a payback but youre talking like 4 quid on a ticket that cost around 50 for being over an hour late home….and that would be bad enough frankly but thats not it.
    They will regularly strike for some reason despite the entire country not backing them or feeling sorry for them other than people that work or know people that work within the sector nor the awful service…..then demanding payrises whilst performing terribly, prices of tickets just had a 6% rise somehow in one of the worst performing years ever, obviously they blame other factors.
    They will send a 4 carriage train to the busiest stations to get into london so not only am i spending 800+ to travel monthly with this service but i do it with a personal expectation that i will do 50% of my travelling stood up which frankly is disgusting.
    Want to use the internet on the train? well then you best expect it to take half your journey to actually get onto and thats IF you actually ever get on to the wifi which by todays standard is prehistoric.
    Ive mever heard staff of ajywhere apolagise so kuch nor seen so much hate for a system that by all regards should be one of the most important for the capital and best running, id be embarrassed to work for them to be honest.
    Nobody has a clue what theyre doing and you dont get awnsers and nothing ever changes, i like to think that they listen to negative reviews and complaints but at this stage i imagine theyre so used to being attacked for their quality of service that its just seen as a normality now and they just ignore and move on.
    In a day and age where we should be getting better id honestly say SWR is getting worse or at best stagnating whilst everything around them grows and gets bigger and better.
    Honestly, i hate this company, i should love and respect them but that is impossible.

    South Eastern Trains run services from Charing Cross and Cannon Street to South East London and Kent. In addition they also run high speed services from St Pancras to Kent.

    Obviously they run hundreds of trains a day and sometimes things go wrong whether it's their fault or the fault of 3rd parties.

    When I travelled with them the trains I caught ran on time and were clean. The staff were all professional.

    Requested delay repay for part of journey which didn’t take place. Got refund of whole return journey amounting to £45.10. The journey took place on Saturday 15th July in horrendous weather. Train from Victoria to Canterbury East terminated in Faversham. Had travelled up on the Friday and got the whole journey refunded. But if a faff filling in firm so I wrote a letter. Replied within a few days. Great customer service.
