Stopped here for lunch & drinks. I had Warner Honey Bee gin….probably the best I’ve tried on this trip. Had the VERY BEST fish & chips I’ve ever had. A whole
side slab; beer batter & cooked perfectly. Great mushy peas & home fries. Nice ambiance & pleasant helpful staff. Comfy seating. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

What has happened to TripAdvisor? Not a family w/children; not family w/teens or business. My son & I are NOT a couple!!

If you’re in Notting Hill & tired of shopping the street this is a great venue. Follow the history of brands from the 1800’s to today. Laid out so you effortlessly wind thru the time periods bringing back all the past brands you remember…..or don’t! Fun experience!

What a tip night out! Saurav who took our class was epic. What a nice guy. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience - highly recommend. Sam Howe who made the gin was also totally brilliant! Whole evening was fantastic. Well worth it.

Stayed in one of the dorm rooms. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The other guests I stayed with were my age (under 25s) and we had a good time, Enjoyed my stay.

We arrived around 12pm when the parade started on the Monday Bank Holiday. It was crowded but not unpleasantly so at that point. We saw plenty of the highly colourful carnival, drank red stripe and rum punch, and generally had a blast wandering around and soaking up the atmosphere and music. All the nearby tubes stations were closed, so got off at Kensington high street, it was about a 30 min walk, but not too bad. Plenty of food to chose from, so very overpriced but quite a few cheaper stands if you shop about a bit. Toilets are absolutely vile and fit for animals. Gut wrenching stench. Surely the event could do better than this. Advise, take a she wee, as you will not want to put your behind anywhere near to the toilet. Not so bad for the gents as there are outdoor unrinals if you are not too much of prude. You can pay to use better loos at £3 to £5 a shot. Travelling back was straight forward. We left at around 3.30ish and the crowds were getting very tight at that point. We walked back to High Street Kensington and caught the tube and train back with no hassle or crowds. Not sure I would have enjoyed it if I stayed later than we did as would have been too crowded for me.

If you have ever wondered who had the idea for a shopping centre, then you should visit Whiteley’s in Bayswater.
It was built by a very forward thinking man many years ago, who claimed that you get anything there - from a pin to an elephant.
I think it fair to say that many people have copied it, but not bettered it.
Whilst it clearly needs more shops, customers, and visitors; it is still a fascinating place, full of wonderful architecture, marble stairs, and columns.
Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.

What a great venue. We only came across to this when following a treasure hunt game. Off the beaten track so you wouldn't necessarily find it.
The type of community centre that everyone would love to have in their town.
    Great atmosphere, music & food.
    Try it!

We had lunch for two couples David the waiter recommendations were wonderful. Up to 3 plates to every diner. We recommend the sea bus , octopus, shrimps were gorgeous, Spanish soup was great.
It wasn’t so cheap for ordinary lunch but we enjoyed every plate that we ordered.

Great mural of a great man but at time of visit (August 2016) there was scaffolding up, which was a shame but Portobello Road is always worth a visit.

While visiting Notting Hill, we took a stroll along Westbourne Grove. We had heard that this was one of the "happening" places in this part of London.
This may well be the case in the evenings but during the daytime it was very quiet. We looked at a few over-priced specialty shops and passed by several swish restaurants and cafes.
However, there really was not a lot here which excited us. We preferred other parts of Notting Hill!

I have loved the cathedral and I’ve dreamed to have my baby boy baptised there , but I am very dissatisfied and disgusted with the treatment we received from the priest and their staff members 😰
I have booked the church paying the deposit since December, for the baptism to take place on the 21 st August and also I needed the crypt because my mother is seriously ill and I couldn’t use a fancy restaurant or a party !
I am not sure if is the poor communication between Katerina , their receptionist and the priest ( Theonas) but I’ ve been told that he will give the key for the crypt to my husband on Friday and we will have the Friday afternoon for arranging the place with ornaments and everything its needed to have a special day ! We have traveled with a new born baby from Southampton since 9 a clock to get there in time to get the key but, because of the very bad traffic we were late ! My husband has got there , but the attitude of the priest was appalling telling my husband that he can’t give him the key now, he needs to come Saturday morning at 10 a clock to take the key to arrange the crypt !!😂
There was nothing arranged from their part . How did they expect us to arrange a room and having a baby to look after and also to get ready in time for the church ceremony and also the photo shoots that I ‘ve paid £600 .
I refused to have the crypt on this condition and the stress we have had with a day before the Baptism , searching for a restaurant for hours , was very upsetting and stressful! Lucky we were helped by our hotel we were staying at Hilton Hyde Park and arranged there for the baptism reception!
Saturday we have arrived at the church at 2 a clock , so we have enough time for the photo shoots and to arrange nicely with all my of my son’s baptism souvenirs ! The photographer was also booked from 2 a clock because I have been told from Katerina that I could come earlier than 3 a clock because there is no other Baptism before me !!!
We had a 2 months old baby and the guests in the church garden waiting with us for a hour , in the rain ! Numerous times we rang the bell and at 3 a clock I was shouting at them for this disguising attitude we received ! They have opened the church at 3 a clock , there was nothing arranged for my baby’s Baptism. Again , Katerina has told me that , there it will be some flowers arrangements but I am welcome to bring any extra if I wish! Lucky I have bought myself some nice flowers that my friend put it on! There was no staff members to help or guide us with the arrangements and the baby’s Baptism !

I expected better service when I paid £590 for a Baptism that was late, on rush and the priest was doing CONFESSION WITH A STRANGER at 3 a clock ( my time booked and paid ) , when it supposed to start my baby’s blessing ceremony not to have a hungry and tired baby crying baby 40 minutes after 🤢We were all stressed out and tired and my baby was crying the whole ceremony!

There are not happy pictures either because of this appalling episode ! Everyone were stressed and bored even the guests they were tired !
I wouldn’t ever put my foot in their church even though I love the cathedral and I will chose a different church my my baby first communion with his Godparents this Sunday !

The ceremony was ok but has been spoilt by a very bad approach and attitude

Crazy bohemian bar with sloping floor. Drinks served from grand piano. Decor and furnishings madly eclectic. A real hidden treasure.

Great place to have a swim. I can swim here and not notice a chlorine smell. Other pools indoors make me gag due to the smell. This pool is great as there is no horrible smell. I have now taken up swimming once a week as it's cheap and convenient.
Nice changing area and good lockers.

If you're in this section of Kensington Gardens, it's worth checking out Queen Caroline's Temple. It's a 18th century, Georgian summer house with lovely views of the park.
