Hencote is in a lovely setting with great views across Shrewsbury and it was interesting to hear about the other points of interest across the town and surroundings including some local history.

The adventure bit was going on the bus, so we could all enjoy the wine tasting.
For any group that is looking for an outing, then I can recommend Tanners Wine Tasting, as it starts with a welcome drink of Fizz and canapes, then you get a conducted tour around the 14th Century property, with lots of history and maybe a ghost tale or two, then the wine tasting and buffet, in the company of Tanner's Alix Chidley-Uttley, who is most entertaining.
