What travellers are saying
- em2508Bournemouth, UK300 contributionsAmazing view at the top. The Stepping Stones walk was a little tricky but manageable....not ideal for limited fitness/difficulty mobilising etc...
There are steps to the top of the hill and when you get to the top you can enjoy the views as well as tea and cakes at the NT cafe. Lovely place, would visit again!Written 28 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The place itself has a large eating area, the food is quite pricey for what it is and you won't find much beer here. But it is a nice spot after a walk or bike ride.Written 2 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dee SAylesford, UK549 contributionsGreat walk up to Leigh hill from Wootton house . Good views but very windy . So pleased the tea room was open . - johnr07Veryan, UK59 contributions50th Birthday treat - a tour of the brewery and some beers to take home. The two guys who showed us round had so much passion for the subject of beer that we believed they probably were doing it for love not money. You can see the whole process from start to finish and sample a few beers as you go along.Written 3 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Judy Zaccagnini F4 contributionsA small museum from archeological finds, town interests and the William Mullins family- Pilgrims that went to Plymouth, USA. We contacted the staff and let them know we were coming. My husband descends from Wm Mullin and we were interested in the visiting town. The museum is run by volunteers who were enthusiastic in telling us about the Museum, the town, and people who had lived or visited there. Special thanks to Kay, Alan, Kate who made us feel special. There knowledge and hospitality made us feel so welcome. - Adventurers049Brisbane, Australia3,509 contributionsAt the moment, the building is covered by scaffolding.
The whole house will be open in 2024.
We were fortunate to visit it during the heritage festival as it is otherwise closed.Written 10 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Claire SCamberley, UK44 contributionsWe had a fabulous Gin Experience tasting the delicious gins in a cozy setting away from the stormy weather. Rosemary was a knowledgeable host and catered well to our requests. The gin tasting and tour was followed by pizza & tapas in the bar area where we felt welcome to stay and enjoy our afternoon.Written 24 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah CAshtead, UK1,323 contributionsThis was my go-to walk with friends during Covid but why stop now, when the scenery and the convenience (with gift shop and coffee hatch at the end) are so brilliant.
Each time we walk there are different vistas, depending on the weather and time of year, and the hills are steep enough to challenge, or there are gentler routes among the vines for an easier strollWritten 16 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Milton lake is great for Crucians, Roach and Tench, Bonds lake is for carp galore up to 12 pounds or more if your lucky and Temple Lake is for die omen carp up to 40 pounds. They now require membership. The lakes are beautifully kept, the scenery is spectacular, the people friendly. I love it there.Written 11 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Melanie S18 contributionsWhat a lovely, friendly and welcoming church. Many thanks to the charming people who greeted me, and Barbara who preached a thought provoking and inspiring sermon. Yes, I absolutely will be visiting again whenever I can.
This church is worth a visit for its history and architecture, but is also a wonderfully calm place to pray and think.Written 13 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
