What an interesting time, being told about what was discovered about the people who lived in these last remaining back to backs! Had a great tour guide - Dave D, who was able to paint the picture of the different time lines these properties represent.
It was informative, well presented and entertaining. Best undertaken in agile footwear due to small, steep stairs.
A must do trip. Highly recommended!

Visited on Monday 04th July 2022 As part of a day trip to Birmingham by train following a walk from Gas Street Basin back towards Birmingham New Street Station. It's free to enter and TBH given that you can't expect too much, but correspondingly for a free Museum, it had an interesting range of modern art, in a building that is a work of art in itself. The cafe looked great but appears to close way before the actual museum.

I recently visited the museum as I was the very fortunate winner of the raffle for a super restored BSA Goldstar 500cc.

We met James and the fantastic team that were so friendly and knowledgeable. It's such a fantastic place with over 1000 bikes that have also been restored to immaculate condition.

I thoroughly recommend a visit and I will be back again to spend more time having a longer look around at these wonderful machines!

    Thanks again

    Chris

Perfect. Hospitality was amazing. Sam on the door at the Grand Tier was the most professional and politest man. A credit to The Birmingham Symphony Hall. This was our first visit. We will be back.

Well worth a visit although our last visit in August sadly we couldn’t take our friend to see the garden as it was shut due to the commonwealth games

Had a few hours spare whilst in Birmingham. I thought I knew this part of the city fairly well but this place was a real surprise. Amazing gardens (lots of different areas and styles) and including access to Edgbaston Pool. House and the family story also pretty interesting. Will never use a screw again without thinking of them!! Pretty good tea shop thrown in. Year round interest I would say because even in November it was lovely.

I use a wheelchair. Access is good. I’m limited residual mobility, so I transferred to a seat. Legroom is very limited. Second act I stayed in my chair and used a wheelchair space.

We saw BRB Nutcracker. Years since I saw this version.. it’s the biggest and best version in the UK. Grand, but intimate. Luxurious. The sets amazing. Xmas tree transformation is staggering.

Dead interesting place, brought to life by knowledgeable friendly staff. Adam especially was a great story teller.

Go here if you're bored of museums and want a hands on experience of Birmingham's history. Think Joyce would be proud of what the place has become.

This is a wonderful little museum, very family friendly and with lots of interest! Plenty to see and enjoy in the museum, but the tour is extra special! Getting to see the inner workings of jewellery making in the 50s and 60s was a real eye opener, and our wonderful tour guide gave lots of additional interesting tidbits and demonstrations.

A nice range of gifts too, from 25p for a little cut out of a dog (which you see the guide do!) to high end jewellery from a number of designers. Highly recommended for a morning or afternoon in Birmingham

We visited the museum with not much idea what to expect. Well it was brilliant, interactive parts in the cells an easy to understand time line and best of all meeting Phil who told us some fascinating stories of his time working in the lock up.

Visited on Monday 04th July 2022 Day trip to Birmingham. Gas Street Basin. A short walk from Birmingham New Street and a nice place for lunch. Lots of different choices in terms of restaurants as well as other businesses of interest, but in truth its the enjoyment of walking along the quayside that is the real pleasure

Love this park! Large open space so great to walk around. Sports courts available. Mini golf. Some fayre type attractions. The Midlands Art Centre! and more I'm probably forgetting. But despite having all these different activities available, it's not a crowded mess. There's so much green, there are flowers in one part, trees in another, it's just so refreshing. Really love coming here.

A short walk from our city centre hotel. Like going back in time with all the historic buildings. Oh...and so many jewellers! Spoilt for choice

Easily accessible from the centre of Birmingham. Beautiful and tranquil location and a great place to take your dogs.
