My husband and I booked the gin and chocolate tasting with another couple and had the best time. We learned a lot about gin, loved the small-group experience, and of course loved tasting both the gins and the chocolate.

We did the Pea-cocktail experience and it was absolutely fantastic. Alyssia was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide taking us from the beginning gin to present day and Pickerings. Highly recommended.

Ranks up there with Washington DC's Museum of Pathology. Very cool and jam-packed with interesting specimens. We were pressed for time, but could have spent 2-3 hours here to take it all in. Well worth a trip if you are interested in medicine or just ghoulish.

5/10 minutes walk from the top end of Princes St gets you to Dean Village, it’s worth the walk. Really picturesque wander round a village that is so different from the rest of Edinburgh, it’s like a different world. There are many photo opportunities, you’ll find them as they’ll be someone standing with their phone out, snapping away.
There are no facilities there, we didn’t see a café or shop so take your own snacks if you want to stop. It’s a very pretty walk, allow around an hour for a gentle stroll but you won’t need any longer.

Excellent experience! Learned all about the brewing process, got to taste and choose our malt base, smell and pick the different hops, and see how it all comes together. Our guide Bee was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and made sure everyone enjoyed themselves.

Also the pizza at the bar restaurant was so good some of my friends went back for a second one!

This stately home is off the usual path for visitors, but is simply lovely if you have any interest in vintage interiors. The house is well restored and the room guides are informative and interesting.

This is our second visit and it was amazing. Bob is very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. The scenery is fantastic looking down over Edinburgh.
I was walking with Praline and he was gentle and enjoyed a good munch of grass.

Very interesting history. Loved the yew trees growing inside the castle. Amazing views too. Also an Outlander filming location. Not crowded. Medieval staircases have ropes to assist climbing them. Staff were very friendly.

Wonderful property and interesting history. It's nice to get a bit of slice of Life from an over 300 year time frame.

The kirkyard (churchyard) has a nice calm atmosphere and is worth a visit for some historic gravestones. Also it is possible to see part of the old city wall; the Flodden Wall that was raised in 1600th century.

Staff very friendly. Self guided round the house, although volunteers in some rooms who will point out key aspects and answer questions. The stairwell is amazing. The grounds are good for a gentle walk. Views over the Firth of Forth. Also saw roe deer and red deer at a distance. Tearoom in the old stables looked good, although they had already run out of the homemade scones by lunchtime so didn’t bother stopping. The house has a rooftop view which is novel and a fun aspect.
This is definitely worth a visit

What a brilliant experience! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a really fun way to learn more about Edinburgh’s economy and the history of banking. It includes lots of hands on, practical experiences like cracking a safe which was amazingly fun! :)
All staff were incredibly knowledgable, helpful and friendly. They really enhanced our experience and cannot be praised enough.

This walkway stretches over 18 km. I did the stretch starting at Dean Village. Amazing scenery and wildlife, dipper, dunnock, robin, wren, blue heron, chance of otter. Used by local joggers, dog walkers and tourists. Peaceful and serene. The visitor centre offers a nice exhibition, educational room, small shop and drinks and snacks.
