- ShanelleSanta Monica, CA8,059 contributionsA lovely way to see Edinburgh / revel in nature. Came here for an afternoon hike and it was steep at times, but doable. It’s family-friendly and there were a lot of kids. The trails are mostly exposed so even though it’s cloudy, don’t forget your sunglasses, water, and sunscreen. There is a parking lot, though we took an Uber to the trail entrance. There was an ice cream truck at the bottom but no facilities. Definitely check this out if you’re visiting Edinburgh for the first time - the views are gorgeous.Written 10 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - john6101953Dudley, UK391 contributionsWe have wanted to go to the Tattoo for a long time and finally decided to go, we were not disappointed.
The most amazing experience is a great setting
All those taking part were excellent and the complete show was brilliant
The only negative was the items being sold before the Tattoo started, they were extortionate prices, for example a cagoule that would coast £4/5 was £15
The programmes however were well priced at £10 and are excellent quality

It's worth the admittance fee. I would recommend this to anyone paying a visit to Scotland!!Written 4 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Betsy R25 contributionsI enjoyed this museum a lot. I am a pediatrician. It was great to tour the pathology collection. I was able to see many of the congenital abnormalities, diseases, and tumors that I see on a regular basis in my hospital practice. Super interesting.Written 10 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- S EAvondale, AZ767 contributionsWhat an interesting short hike this was, one that I was not able to do for example in Saint Malo in Brittany France. So this was interesting and one day I want to come back and watch the tide roll in. That would be really cool. This is definitely a bucket item to return to in a different month, not September but perhaps July? I need to explore more of the island as well.Written 4 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NeazdenEdinburgh, UK15 contributionsMy partner booked an 11am "Puppy Playtime" session as a birthday treat and we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Yes, there are a lot of rules and the staff are strict about them but that's a good thing and just shows how much they care about the dogs' welfare. Anyone who has owned dogs (especially smaller, daintier ones) will appreciate the rules as simply common sense, but the housekeeping talk is needed for anyone who hasn't and I appreciated that consideration.
The dogs have clearly been well socialised with humans and as long as you treat them with calmness and gentleness you will get plenty of love in return. The dogs seemed happy and relaxed and some of that definitely rubbed off on us!
I especially loved the way the staff clearly knew the dogs' individual personalities and preferences well- some like a back massage, others enjoy belly rubs, while some just want you to wrap them in a blanket while they chill out on your lap, and the staff are on hand to advise!
I was also impressed to see how the dogs' day is structured, with a routine of playtime in the morning to work off the zoomies followed by time to chill. The staff are also very mindful when changing the layout of the room, calling the dogs back in while they move furniture and guests change positions so they don't startle them with sudden movements and loud noises. It was all very smooth and you could tell the dogs appreciated it.
As a bonus the tea and cake were of excellent quality. We left feeling happy and relaxed and glad to have enjoyed 50 minutes in the company of seven sweet little dogs and our thoughtful human hosts. The experience was a real treat and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something different to bring them a bit of calm and joy.Written 22 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lcortenraadThe Hague, The Netherlands12 contributionsReally interesting tour of this small craft brewery in Edinburgh. Alex and Ellis were brilliant, told us interesting facts about beer making and the whole brewing process. Really cool to see how dedicated they are to making something special. And we got to taste so many of the beers - delicious! We’ll def be searching for them in the Netherlands. Thanks for the great afternoon guys!Written 22 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Ellie28 contributionsGreat experience, staff were friendly and talked a lot about the cats, even gave them treats and enrichment during the session so we could see all the cats up close. All the cats seem cared for and loved and they have lots of places to get up high, climb around and sunbathe in the big windows!
Only downside is there wasnt a lot of food options - only cakes, but i suppose may be so the cats dont get too tempted. Would be good to have the menu online though. Also the cake was so small for the price. Plenty of drink options though and got a flavoured lemonade to take away which was super nice :)Written 10 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It’s excellent, there is a wide range of boulder problems for all abilities, the staff are super friendly and helpful, and the café is great too.Written 7 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
