What travellers are saying
- JayeinVA43 contributionsBeautiful park! A mix of wide open spaces and forest. Great place to see the local wildlife. Paved trails for walking or cycling. Go inside the visitor center, located in Killarney House, for new and educational exhibits. Definitely bring the kids!Written 14 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Lori OVA5 contributionsBreathtaking! A must see! All day tour was amazing. Carriage ride, lunch and boat ride! - Ann MBuckland St Mary, UK14 contributionsMaxing selection of farm houses staged as they would have been 100 or so years ago. With workers ans wives there to answer questions and show you how life was lived.
Animals in excellent condition, well fed and housed in great facilities. Children can see how different children lived in the different farm houses from tiny to a big farmhouse. There is a small bus to tale those who cant manage the distance or the hillside from one farm to another. Unfortunately the Schoolhouse was closed and the Smithy unmanned this was a big disappointment .Written 23 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are toilets etc nearby and it is possible to bike up to the falls. Not the most spectacular waterfall Ireland has to offer but I enjoyed it and I’m glad I didn’t leave it out.Written 29 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - coffeeandbooks23 contributionsWhile I have been to the outside of Ross Castle many times.i had never been inside to do the tour . This is a great tour . The guide is very friendly and informative and really helps you to visualize what it would have been like to live in that castle . Beautiful location and beautiful scenery. The tour itself is short but worthwhile doing if you have 45/50 mins to spare. There are no photos allowed inside the castle and I think this is a good idea as it really is a pleasant surprise when you get to see inside of itWritten 11 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - D PWellington, New Zealand6,695 contributionsMega view I bet on a clear day. What we could see between the rapidly moving stormm clouds of Agnes was pretty amazing! For a brief moment we could see islands in the water and stunning rolling hills. Would definitely like to try again on a finer day!!Written 2 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dee A4 contributionsI chose to go the Abbey because I wanted to see the 600+ year old yew tree growing in the courtyard. The tree was amazing and the Abbey itself was very interesting.Written 24 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeffrey C2 contributionsIf I could give Geoffrey and Killarbey Falconry 10 stars, I would. Geoffrey is magnificent; he's friendly, kind, clearly loves his birds and takes his time with those visiting. He answered endless questions and never rushed even though it was bitter cold during our visit. He has a full understanding of his birds and their needs and you can tell he meets them.Written 19 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert G1 contributionMy brother and I were looking for something to do in between 2 places on our trip. We found this online and glad we did because we were not disappointed. We met with Mira who not only was great with the birds but extremely informative. We had a blast, learned alot, and took some great pictures!Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kevin G2 contributionsCalled in on a Thursday night with the family. Even though I'm from Killarney, it was my first time. Fabulous place. Food was fantastic and the beers was great. The staff were great too. It was quiet when we left but I'll be heading back here again, the next time I'm heading out.Written 8 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rebecca R44 contributionsOn our visit to Killarney National Park we started with Muckross House and Farms. We bought the combo ticket, and toured the house and gardens first, which were in a pretty setting and good example of a manor house. We then walked to the farm which offered a good representation of the various workings of an Irish farm and the people needed to keep it running. There was a steep walk to the first building, so we took the shuttle, which was easy to access. We enjoyed the animal exhibits, and the staff explaining butter and bread baking were interesting. Ample parking and a gift shop with light food available.Written 1 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
