Booked prior to flying out direct via TUI, we opted for a Monday trip as certain days do 2 hour trips and others have 3 with a swim option (Mondays are 3 hours). Pickup was well organised and on time. We are in Playa Des Ingles, there were a few others to pickup also, so transfer was about an hour, but got to see other parts of the island. We were dropped off at Puerto Rico harbour about 30 minutes before sailing and the boat was out from the morning trip. This was at 1pm and absolutely baking, we queued up along the harbour with nowhere to shelter (the only reason I couldn’t give 5*) We set sail and were out about 45-60 minutes before we caught sight of Dolphins. The crew knew where to go and where to wait. The Dolphins swam around the boat and the crew tried their best to ensure the boat moved so that everyone could see the Dolphins. We then set about coming back to port, with a 30 drop off in the bay for the swim. My family and I had planned on swimming, but we were tired by this point and the water appeared to be freezing, so we were happy to stay on the boat. This was a trip for my wife who loves Dolphins and she was not disappointed, so I’d say this was a job well done.
For those complaining about the choppy sea and being sick. What did you expect, you were sailing out into the Atlantic and it’s hardly the crews fault you have no stomach for the sea. And on that point, the crew were on hand with bags, constantly cleaning up sick and helping people the best they could. Pretty sure that’s not what they signed up for.
