This was a really nice experience in my life, in the beginning, i thought it will be like other bar tours like in Amsterdam with few people and horrible places, but my price was to discover practically a tour bar of great quality! thanks, Rob and Raul to make it possible

In a small street in Madrid, you find Sunset 80, a classic proposal, but different from all the fashion clubs. His sign announces "welcome to the 80´s" and another sign on the door clarifies that you will not listen to reggaeton or commercial music. It is very well attended, prices are reasonable. A fully recommended option

We were looking for an intimate Flamenco experience in Madrid and we found it with Cardamomo! The room was small enough that everyone in the venue could still see and it didn’t feel overwhelming or crowded. They provided drinks when we arrived and we enjoyed ours so much we each purchased a second glass. The performers were all fantastic and it was an awesome experience!

Having never been to flaminco before, I admit having a lot of misconceptions. I thought the show would consist of many men and women dancing at the same time.
Actually, there was a band of 5 musicians/singers and only one man and one woman who danced. There were only 3 or 4 dancing numbers, and other times it was just the band. The show was enjoyable, just different than expected.
As a side note, we booked this with the tapas - which were good, but honeslty I think we were the only people there who ate anything. So my advice would be just to book the show and eat elsewhere.

I was staying near Atocha Train Station , went walking looking for a bar with atmosphere and how lucky to find this.
Wonderful barman Jose , credit to the establishment. Lovely choice of drinks and snacks given with them .
There was an Art group get-together when we visited so the place was so busy with a great ambience.
Was hoping to return next week but thats not to happen now. I look forward to returning once this virus has left .
    Great First experience to Madrid.

La Venencia isn't a trendy hip tapas bar. If you want cocktails or cañas or vermouth, you will have to go elsewhere. They serve sherry here, that's it. So, if you don't like sherry, don't go. If you have never had good sherry before, though, give it a try. They have different kinds, from very dry to sweet. I am a huge fan of the manzanilla. It costs 2 euros per glass and is delicious.

The charm of the place is in its history and its unchanging character. Yes, it is old. Yes, it is small and a little bit dark. The furniture is old. It looks like it hasn't been painted since 1934. For me, that gives it a wonderful atmosphere. It's a trip back in time to old working class Madrid. It's not dirty or run down. It's just not glitzy and modern. It's traditional. I love that they don't try to change who they are, and they remain true to their roots. This is honestly one of my favorite places in Madrid.

The bartenders are old school, professional, serious. They do what they're paid to do and don't depend on tips. They are attentive, but not fawning. I've been here many times and never found them to be rude. But they aren't going to stand around and chat with you all day. The bar attracts a lot of local patrons as well as tourists. Given how busy it gets at times, I'm amazed at how the bartenders manage to take care of so many people and not loose their patience.

It's the policy of the bar to not allow photos of the interior. It annoys some people, but there's something to be said for living in the moment and enjoying the time spent here without documenting it all on instagram. Put your phone away, it won't kill you.

I prefer going mid day during the week when it's not quite so crowded. You can sit and read or talk to friends over a glass or two of sherry and spend a very nice hour here. They serve some very basic food to go along with the sherry (olives, cheese, ham). Don't go expecting to make a night of it here and have a full meal. Go to for an hour or so and enjoy it for what it is. If you are looking for more variety in food and drink, try the Cervecería Alemana on the Plaza Santa Ana right around the corner. It's more of a typical Madrid bar/ tapas place and also has a historical feel to it.

I found it on Google maps and quickly i read everything that i found on Internet. I arrived to the door, check the actual direction and ring the bell, there’s no sign!
The staff was the sweetest, they explained everything around the bar and their concept.
Drinks were amazing, based mostly on local product, natural ingredients, latinoamerican profiles.
Every cocktail it’s special but youre gonna find it yourself
    Great experience, magical ambience.
    Definitely recommended 💕

We were hoping to hear some acoustic jazz and checked out the schedule for Cafe Central.. a group calling themselves Flamenco Jazz Trio was to play.. we reserved seats and witnessed a couple of sets of wonderful acoustic jazz. the room is a nice size but seating is tight - the room has some mirrors and they help.. skip the food and pass on the Sangria.

Friendly staff. The place is enchanting, and the food is everything you would expect from one of the oldest restaurant in Madrid.

    Highly recommended.
