A great open space with a wide trail for walking, running, or cycling. There were a number of smaller playgrounds along the route and you really only have to cross 1 major road along a 6km stretch. We rented a family cycle from Eco Moving Sports at an hourly rate and joined the crowd along the river.

Loved this small plaza in the heart of the centro. Many wonderful little places to enjoy a wonderful glass of Spanish tinto or cerveza. The shop owners are helpful if you need directions and don't speak fluent Spanish. I found myself wandering around alot as I was navigating the city. Always loved returned to Santa Ana. Don't miss this quaint spot.

A nice park! We took a metro there, there is a station called Casa de Campo. It is very big, there is a lot to see. We liked taking pictures with yellow flowers, we found a viewing point, for this we had to hike a little bit up, you have a nice view of the city from far. Going down was a bit tricky but we were brave. And in the end we even found a nice lake (not for swimming, just for the view) with some ice cream places and restaurants. It was a good day! It is not a must when you are in Madrid as it does not offer any unique photo experience however you can go there!

Small but good gardens located to the side of the Royal Palace enroute to the Plaza de Espana and the Temple of Debod. There are some small fountains and some nice paths. Well worth a 30 minute visit.

This is a stunning park in Madrid. It was planned in 1920 by a famous landscape engineer. It is a great place to walk, job, or read. The only problem is that it is really busy during the weekends.
The closest metro station is Suanzes, just 2 minutes from the park.

Parque del Oeste (Spanish for Western Park) is a much less visited park than the massive El Retiro. But it's a lot quieter too! It’s a pleasant little place to stroll amidst an extensive rose garden.

I gave it four stars, but in mid-May when the roses are in full bloom, it’s unquestionably a five-star experience! This gorgeous park without tourists includes charming pathways, lots of plants, and beautiful fountains. Visit when you want to escape the chaos of Madrid!

In May all the roses were blooming and it was great time to visit. Free entrance. Walking distance from Principe Pio. A nice day out.

Highly recommended to attend the Auditorium, very good concerts, both in the large symphony hall and in the small one, the staff is very nice, ticket offices, hall, ordinances, security, doormen, everything works very well.
I don't think there is any musical audience in the world that surpasses this one in organization, variety of concerts and musical height.

This is a park next to the Cathedral of Almudena. It is a good place to go for a run, have a picnic, or rest. It is a historical place in Madrid..In 1100s the Arabs set up a camp. In the 19th century it used to be a playground for the children of the royal family..

This redeveloped industrial and transportation corridor is a fantastic array of different parks along the waterway. The variety and accessibility of the park areas are excellent. If I lived in Madrid, it would be a major advantage to live along this greenway. The city should be very proud of this urban oasis. We walked for a few hours from one part of the city to another. It was a perfect counterpoint to time indoors at museums.
