A morning with Hipotour was a really fun introduction to horse racing. As well as gaining an understanding of racing, we got to go into the paddock and take a photo with a jockey, both of which would not normally be accessible for visitors. Our guide was charming and very well informed. Highly recommended.

In this barn you will find horse trails for all level of riders. Desent horses will take you on a trail through the natural reserve park of Madrid Cuenca alta de manzanares en el Pardo. There are guided tours of an aprox duration of an 1 or 2. You will be provided with a helmet. You also may book riding lessons dressage or jumping, there is an activity offering yoga & pilates with horse, after your session there is a nice cafeteria with beautiful views. You can walk around the place watching horses or just enjoy the nature and take a rest of the big city. For the youngsters there is a pony club with 30 minute trails, guided, too. The nearby Pardo invites you for a hike. Only one thing is tricky, you need a transportation to this place like taxi or car rental as there is no public transportation connection.

    Very bad experience.
I booked paragliding and the next day they cancelled saying no instructors were available for a month. My next date approached and they refused to answer calls from me asking to confirm it was going ahead. Managed to find the operators number and the my confined Tourismoi had been told my date was unavailable and they just hadn’t been bothered to tell me.
I managed to get them to arrange a final date less than a week away (of course they won’t offer a refund!) and I’ve just heard that the instructor is not free. Complete garbage

We had an overall fun ride with Equiberia. Best things were how friendly the girls at the barn were and the horses were very well trained and cared for. We saw some incredible sights too.

However, we should have been made aware before our trip that Maria Elena does not really lead rides anymore and wouldn’t be leading ours. She does not live in Spain anymore so not sure why the website reads that she does all the rides. My mom had a previous trip with this company 5 years ago and was sending emails saying how excited she was to see her again and they never mentioned she wasn’t going to be leading it. Also, my mom and I were the only ones in our group and the team didn’t share this fact with us in advance. They said they were nervous to tell us it would just be us so didn’t mention until our first night dinner together. It wouldn’t have affected our choice to come to Spain, but we would have brought less stuff in general. It made us wonder why they wouldn’t have been upfront? Communication needs to be improve a bit. They also only asked my mom her food preferences for lunches and I was wondering why they never asked me too since there was only 2 people in our group lol. I am 34 years old and an adult so not sure why it wasn't a priority to ask me as well. Fish lasagna isn't really my thing.

Also, I would say the Sierra de Gredos ride is more of a sightseeing trip not really a riding trip. We didn’t trot or canter for longer than 5 minutes total in a 6.5 hour day of riding. If you like being one with nature and long walks on horseback through the mountains, this is the trip for you.

Overall the trip was fun, but would have been better had they been honest about key parts in advance of our arrival and had more upfront communication.
