I really do not appreciate modern art but just had to visit the Guernica. How impressive is that! It is huge and depicts the turmoil of the Civil War just brilliantly. So pleased to see it, at last. I did drift into other rooms but 70% of my time was Guernica only ! Lol.

We got here around 9am. Not crowded and lots of local crafts, souvenir, leather goods, clothing and food. We ended up spent all the cash and many vendors accepted credit cards. Around 11am, we noticed crowds building up and became packed near noon.

You should always go where the locals recommend. So we went to La Lopez in Mercado Anton Martin. The food is excellent, ad is the wine and beer. The staff are really friendly and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Great market, very friendly with fantastic range of produce. Craft stalls, food stalls, bars etc. Much less touristy than San Miguel (less flashy, cheaper and more authentic).

Large city gate, right outside of the hotel. As others have mentioned, far fewer tourists at this gate. Lit up at night.

This place is defenitely worth making a trip! It smells with history. The architecture, the icons... But, leave it to Europeans to remind you who's in charge! We got kicked out, because the church was going to be closed for a nite! Welcome to Madrid! )))

    Mago Pop Broadway Edition

Is the show Spectacular ? It really is and a total must watch However.....

Is it worth €85 for good seats ? NO the show without video inserts and heavily extended applause cues is about 55 Minutes ( The show itself is only 1 Hour 15 total )

It's a spectacular show indeed ! If you get seats priced at 30-40 Euros it's worth it.

If you've already seen his show - Nada es Impossible it's basically the same show with what seems fewer acts.

Venue is Great and viewing is good from all seats

Language - Although the show is in Spanish it does have subtitles for most of the show on the top using a screen.

The show's team are constantly walking around the isles which is heavily districting stopping people from filming / Taking pictures / Cameraman walking in and out it's very distracting also general production crews.

In review - if you can afford it go to this show it really is good however if you want to have a theatre experience i don't think this show gives you a Theatre night out but more of a spectacular hour event.

Plaza Lavapies is an interesting area in the middle of the Lavapies district. The area is quite multicultural and this means that you get an amazing variety of food as well as culture. Walking through you get the feeling there are many poorer families in the district in general, but the Plaza and other spots in the district are worth visiting at least for the range and quality of the food on offer.

A vast soulless place in its time, I bet. Large enough to have housed thousands of workers. Perhaps in the heat of summer the windowless rooms would have been cool rather than cold.

Plaza de Cascorro Madrid is a lovely plaza with several shops around, including cafes, restaurants and others. It's named after a small town in Cuba. So this plaza is named in memory of Cascorro's siege during the 19th century Spanish-American war in Cuba. Interesting!

The plaza has a statue of the famous playwright Spanish monk, Tirso de Molina. As well as bars, cafes, a theatre, supermarkets, ATMs and a subway station. It's a bustling, colourful noisy place, and a good place to be based when visiting Madrid. It's also a bit smelly especially in the morning due to men urinating on the ground when they think no one is looking.

We absolutely loved this escape room. The host was very friendly and made the experience memorable. We laughed a lot and the puzzles were engaging and challenging. A great end to our holiday!

This is a beautiful church in Embajadores, Madrid. When I visited the church, the dome was under renovations. It is a beautiful church as many in Madrid.
