- Trippi65Lugano, Switzerland127 contributionsit is our favorite beach - wild - long and no umbrella renting. the way down and up is challenging - the less you carry - the better it is - good shoes are recommended although there are people with flip flops
very disappointing the restaurant - not for the food which is acceptable- but for all the plastics they started to use - awful! a year ago they still served in ceramic plates - now just one way plastic - a big step backwards what a pity and what a shame.
Fun is putting on the body the loam which you find at the end on the left of the beach watching the water (called also il trave)
do not stay too long on that side as sometimes peaces of mountain fall down ...Written 25 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lingleseFermo, Italy328 contributionsLuckily I was invited by a friend who has a Grotto. A superb place to chill out with a swim sundowners and supper. There is the charm of being by the sea, and sometimes a glorious view if there is a full moon, but its a good walk back up though!Written 31 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MidwestKathMDetroit, MI1,087 contributionsWe met up with our Italian cousins here at the Monument ai Caduti in Ancona. Dating back to the 1920s, it is an impressive monument remembering the fallen soldiers of World War I. It is quite tall and so has terrific views of the seashore and beyond. On a blue sky day, you can't ask for much more! Also enjoyed the architecture of some of the nearby residences and businesses.Written 26 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David SMiddlesbrough, UK2,381 contributionsAn ancient marble monument built between 114 and 117 AD to honour the Roman Emperor Trajan and still standing loud and proud today. My wife and I had a short stop off in Ancona whilst on a cruiser and we relished the opportunity to view this amazing sight.Written 6 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David SMiddlesbrough, UK2,381 contributionsThe port of Ancona is located in the middle of the Adriatic Sea and is divided into passenger and ferry terminals, container terminals and solid bulk plants. The port has a strategic function in the Adriatic-Ionian Macro Region, as a terminal for international ferry lines to Greece, Croatia, and Albania.Written 7 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dominique G17 contributionsI visited this with one friend and we guided each other while wearing the sleeping mask and trying to guess what the statues represented. It was an amazing experience for me not only because of the great art, but also because of the different feeling of feeling the art.
The crafts made by children in the last room are also great!Written 11 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The entrance lead directly to the new part, ie new floor, simple alter, above the old original floor. There were glass panels in the floor to see the original part below. Then I went downstairs to look around the old flooring where the mosaics were exposed.
It was a brief tour but it was wonderful to walk almost in the footsteps of worshippers from centuries before. Also, to appreciate their workmanship, remembering how laborious it all was but how strong their faith was to build such a significant place of worshipWritten 30 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Once used as a leper colony, it went on to fulfil an important military use during the First World War. These days it’s home to a tactile museum where you can touch and feel the artefacts.Written 6 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
