Gabriele was so knowledgeable and created truly magical moments.. which I won't give away so you can enjoy, too! He made time to connect with everyone on the tour for a very personalized experience. We learned so much about the food culture, the region and were able to test variations of many local dishes and ingredients. Every stop on the tour really felt like we were getting a backstage pass to Bologna. Bravo! 👏 👏 👏

Picked up by bus in Bologna and took about 30ish minutes to reach the first stop, Parmesan factory. Amazing tour. After we went a few minutes up the road to taste balsamic vinegars and had an incredible breakfast on a beautiful winery. Lastly a tour of a prosciutto factory, followed by lunch nearby with WAY TOO MUCH DELICIOUS FOOD! Different meats, pastas, four different wines all prepared on site by a wonderful staff. We loved our day and the all of the guides and people that took care of us and made us eat waaaay too much! Highly recommended.

Frederica was amazing! Every item of food was delicious and she was so knowledgeable about where the foods came from and the importance they have to their respective regions. Totally recommend!

The Pasta Mama was outstanding!! We learned to make 3 different types of pasta, and then our expert prepared them for us to try. They were delicious!! She also shared her delicious Bolognese with us! It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it!!!

Very informative two hour walking tour. Lots of information not in the history books from the US. We enjoyed getting to know Bologna.

We had a great time cooking with Alessia. We learnt how to make two different types of pasta and tiramasu from scratch with great tips from Alessia. We finished the session eating and drinking some lovely wines hand picked by Alessia. We would recommend.

Eugenio was such a great guide, extremely knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about food and drink. He gave some great recommendations as to where to get food from after the tour and was warm and friendly. The food we ate on the tour was absolutely delicious and there was so much of it - great value for money. Would highly recommend this tour and thanks again to Eugenio for such a great afternoon!

We booked a last minute food tour with Paolo to learn more about the food in Bologna. It was well worth our time. Paolo was knowledgeable about the food and the city of Bologna. We learned a lot about the city and food that we may not have learned had we not done this tour. Paolo was delightful and we enjoyed our time with him.

My husband and I had an amazing day on this tour. Our driver didn't speak a lot of English but was good with Google Translate. He let us play with the schedule a little bit and made an additional stop while also dropping us back off at the airport. The Lambo museum is small and doesn't take more than 10 minutes so don't be disappointed. The Ferrari Museum is bigger but the souvenir shop across the street is far cheaper than the company store on the premises (Hats were $30 vs $90 inside). The parmigianno factory was fascinating and had a great guide who gave a hands on demonstration (I would suggest going early in the morning when they are actually retrieving the new wheels). The balsamic farm lunch was an amazing amount of food and was absolutely delicious. Great tour and great people all the way through!

We booked three days of private tours with IFMT. We started by email to arrange exactly the places we wanted to see. We also wanted track driving. Giancarlo was very patient and worked hard to arrange what we wanted. A lot is dependent on the factories themselves as to timing. It was obvious Giancarlo and his partner Antonio have long standing connections through the entire region.
We were picked up at our accommodation in a very comfortable car by Antonio and another guide, Alia. They were funny, kind, generous and knowledgeable about everywhere we went.
We visited Ferrari Modena, Ferrari Maranello, Lamborghini museum and factory and the Pagani factory and museum. At every stop we were guided in past lines and enjoyed really great experiences.
We also drove laps at the Autodromo at Modena (highly recommended)
We finished our last day with a food tour including Parmesan, prosciutto and balsamic producers. Each stop was curated and was absolutely amazing.
Each day came with a sit down restaurant lunch where we were treated to amazing local food and drinks. The food and local knowledge were top notch

I would highly recommend any of the tours offered. Just be aware that this is a smaller company who are highly hands on, but everything in Italy runs at a different pace than many outsiders expect.

Darren was an amazing guide and the tour is a MUST! What a way to experience Bologna in the passion of food from those who know the secrets! The tour takes you to the hidden gems, explains not only the history of Bologna but the food itself. You will not go hungry!

This was the highlight of our time in Bologna. We got to learn how to make pasta in the chef’s kitchen in her countryside home, a 1600 era historic building occupied by the 3rd generation in her family. The weather was perfect so we enjoyed the fruits of our labor on the backyard patio overlooking the incredible view of the valley. The chef and her daughter were so welcoming and warm we left feeling like we were leaving family. ❤️
