When visiting Zurich I always walk the streets of the old town - always pleasant ( when not raining). I frequent a shop that sells only tour book and maps. What a selection!

There are so many ways to experience the lake, from riding on a tourist boat to just walking alongside.

Beautiful place to visit and easily accessible without having to book a tour. We added 2 zones to our Zurich pass so we could meet requirements, very cheap. The S10 line is closed for the summer 2022 so had to take bus but worth the trip.

Space is plentiful for the animals. Plenty of enrichment toys and challenges to enhance their well-being. The elephant, ape, and Australian exhibits were our favorite. Beautiful landscape throughout.

Started with the special exhibit about art and medicine then spent hours in the main collection--too much to take in in one day.
Does have a centrally located small cafe to find a cold drink and 2 shops--one for each building. elevators were large and fairly easy to find too.

The Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich's Old Town is a nice shopping street / area with designer shops, boutiques, department stores, jewellers, ice cream shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. We walked down its full length from the train station (Hauptbahnhof) to the lovely Burkliplatz with its sweeping views of Lake Zurich and the Alps in the far distance. Along the Bahnhofstrasse you will come upon a large steel rhinoceros "Panzernashorn" sculpture by local lad John A Tobler (1982) which is rather nice.

Be prepared to wait long time. Good service though. Shop inside too. Slight pressure to buy quickly.

The Lindenhofplatz is the oldest part of Zurich at an elevated position in the old town.
When walking from the main railway station, it will be above the right bank of the Limmat river. You need to take an easy walk up to an elevated plateau where's a park with benches overlooking the entire town. Beneath it are Roman ruins, the oldest part of the city, but they're not in great shape and not that interesting.
Close by is the St. Peter's Church.

This is the main train station In Zurich. Over 3000 arrivals and departures per day. A very busy place but extremely important. Firstly a few things to note -
Most store’s name restaurants Close early - not at the train station. Also you have a wide variety of restaurants and shops. In addition there are facilities like lockers
( that you can rent ) showers and restrooms ( you have to pay - yes pay to use these facilities). Also it’s close to the city center so a good starting point for any sightseeing or tours etc. We flew into Zurich airport got a ride to the station - stored our luggage and then did a city tour - which started at the bus station, walking distance from here.

The Museum Rietberg is easy to get to by Zurich Tram. We got off the Green Line here on our way back from seeing Dolder Grand Hotel. Be sure to see the awesome Rodin Gate next to the entrance here.

One of the iconic buildings in Zurich's old town. Interesting on the inside and you can pay a small fee to climb the tower for some great views of Zurich.

I didn't have much time to see the Fraumunster Church but am so glad that I made the effort to squeeze in a short look. The windows by Marc Chagall are stunning. Do yourself a favor and take a peek.

Just enjoyed how it divided up the town and created a calming effect. It separates the more commercial part of Zurich from the old town. You can't go wrong on either end!

It's not a big museum. But the technology inside is amazing. Most of exhibition talks about trees. Anyway, it's good experience.
