The falls were very nice ,good flow at this time of year. A bit out of the way but can combine with a visit to the volcanic mountain which is a little past Bousra town.

This is a good place to visit in the late afternoon when the sun is setting over town. Best to hire a motorbike to ride to the top of the hill

We organized through bamboo cafe a guide for visiting Seima protected forest, avoiding any elephant tour, for not supporting the local people abusing these amazing and endangered animals...
The guide was a very nice person and he could speak a fear English. Near the forest we met also another guide, who was part of the Bunong community and was incredibly good at reproducing the primates’ calls! The forest is beautiful but you can see the many trails (littered with some plastic bottles) and illegal logging activity all inside the forest, we also heard a chainsaw in action while we were there…

I visited Pulong waterfall with a few local students and had a nice time. There are several waterfalls around Pulong but this one appears to be one of the most popular. There is a small sign, but it is in Khmer, so hard for western tourists to locate the path.

After driving down some steep trails it opens up to a large lake area with a small stream and waterfall. The place is secluded and very peaceful. The best part is the peace and quiet of the area. This is a great place to spend a few hours relaxing and swimming.

Worth the stop when traveling and certainly much less crowded that Busrae waterfall. Would not go too far out of the way fro this one, but is pretty easy for a short stop.

I spent two very great day with Rathana, I discovered magic waterfalls and place deep in the forest! He made very good barbecue, yes hand made with bamboo and other stuff! One of the both days i'hve done some dirty bike, that was amazing, the trails were craggy but the feeling was good and ecstatic for a first Time!

Thanks a lot for your knowledge and the time spend with you Rathana.

I definitely recommend rathana as guide.

Not a particularly spectacular waterfall, but the setting is very nice and we only saw 2 others while we were. It is definitely out of the way, but a great place just to relax and enjoy the scenery.

When I think about all the great roundabouts that you need to do a selfie on this is definitely up there. Arc d triumph, A34 outa slough or wat pnhom and its temple none of them beat this Giant Concrete cow on a roundabout. Dodge some traffic and go and take a selfie!

Morning yoga session (8-9.30) with my GF, Lana and me.
Lana is a wonderful teacher that guided us into the yoga and meditation world.
Highly recommend for the experience but especially for the teacher Lana!

Had an amazing day at the elephant valley project, had a morning trek through the forest following a couple of rescued elephants on their meandering walk and feed. Was interesting to hear about the past of the elephants and how they are now being cared for and how local attitudes are changing for the better towards them..
Lunch was amazing and tasty at the base camp, so much to choose from, all cooked by locals.
The afternoon was spent again trekking with elephants.
A great experience with lots of options to choose, from overnight stays to volunteering for weeks.
Check it out, definitely worth the visit

I was surprised to find such a great Thai massage shop in Mondoulkiri. I had 1hour shoulder/neck massage and I can definitely say that was amazing! Relaxing, therapeutic and very professional.

What a wonderful day! We enjoyed every part of it-being in the countryside, meeting the elephants, learning more about them and observing them going about their day was really special. Of course feeding the. Bananas was a highlight. The 2 elephants we met had very different personalities-one wanted the bananas placed in her mouth and would ask by opening her mouth, while the second wanted you to hand them over to her trunk. The elephants were definitely in charge of the agenda, and were never asked to do anything they didn’t want to. The elephant Community project has created a lovely lodge in the woods by the river where we had a freshly prepared lunch with at least 4 different dishes and fruit for dessert. Then we relaxed until the elephants showed up for their afternoon baths. Being in the river with them provided a whole new perspective (and was also great fun). After the hike out we visited the village that owns the elephants. Our guide was able to answer all our questions and you can tell he is really devoted to the project.
I consider this a “must do”. The Elephant Community Project is doing a fantastic job.
