What travellers are saying
- Fahri SLesbos, Greece2 contributionsIt was wonderful to spend time with my father while exploring the history of the fabric. The security was so great that we asked some question about the machines and he explained everything. I recommend to visit this place if you have a chance.Written 16 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- MIRJAM c5 contributionsThe museum is interestng. A few points could be improved. The ladies who work at the museum can' t provide information. Their English is not enough.
Not all monitors are working in the museum. It would be good to have a guide available, or something with headsets.
Provide a map to explain the route to the petrified park, 5 kms away from the museum.
The staff could not explain the route to us in their inadequate English.Written 13 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Joan CReserve, NM753 contributionsI have visited here a few times. If you are open, the sacred power in there s place is palpable. If you are searching or looking for direction, this is a place to find answers within yourself. It is also a beautiful place in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend.Written 9 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Paul HBoca Raton, FL90 contributionsThis amazing museum has been fully restored to it's original condition. Walking through the museum gives you a full understanding of the entire process in making olive oil. There is a small store where you can purchase award winning oils from Lesbos as well as a small tasting area, The staff are extremely helpful and have a wealth of information about the production of olive oil. This is a must see attraction on this beautiful island.Written 1 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SanderHoogeveen, The Netherlands10 contributionsIt's a beautiful piece of nature and definitely worth a visit. Although there was no waterfall we did see some water. We also walked a bit downhill and followed the creek which I'd recommend to do so as wellWritten 17 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CharlotteManchester, UK550 contributionsWe decided to visit the castle as it appears quite imposing looking down over Molyvos and rather impressive, especially at night. We took the village train from the harbour and it took us right up with a short walk to the entrance. The castle is well preserved and has wonderful views over Lesvos and Turkey. The restaurant outside was the perfect place to have a cold beverage after our walk around.Written 10 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mushroom1234Washington DC122 contributionsPeaceful small place you can walk in a few minutes or spend a half hour. Two Euros to get in. Nobody was there but us and the guy who took the money. Great little place to stop on the way to somewhere else... like lunch on the Gulf.Written 21 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MARY CGlastonbury, UK428 contributionsWorth a visit on your way through, nice new road to get there then track ,we got out and did small walk while we were there.Written 9 June 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Varvara K2 contributionsIt’s a semi dangerous walk/hike to get to the springs. Much of the path is in ruin and destroyed by erosion over the years. But it’s absolutely gorgeous when at the springs, worth the trek, just be careful where you step. 4/5Written 16 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Joan CReserve, NM753 contributionsWe spent a week here recently. The beach is a pebble beach, so if you want sand this is not your spot. The beach is very clean and the water is clean and clear. We found it to be perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Not crowded, although the thumping music from the beach bar could get annoying.Written 30 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sue B70 contributionsUse this train every time we come to Molyvos. This year it has to be the best with such a friendly driver and beautiful smiles and great information from the guide. We love this as our journey to spend the day in Petra. Lots to see and trip to the castle is great. Definitely recommend when visiting this beautiful islandWritten 27 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Joan CReserve, NM753 contributionsWe strolled through here today. Excellent video explaining the site, the excavation, and the history. Detailed dioramas are very well done. Visitors can walk among the ruins, some of which are partially reconstructed.Written 13 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- sueDMilton Keynes, UK23 contributionsQuaint little church perched on a tiny mount, stunning views and lovely to see inside. Lovely walk in the old part of Petra around bottom of the mount and also stumbled upon a little balkan house museum a few yards away, also reviewed. You may want to come prepared, as to enter the church they request you have legs and shoulders covered - a thick gown is available at the door.Written 21 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CourserugbyOldham, UK58 contributionsThis is a must do trip if you get the opportunity. We toured the museum and found out some interesting information about the family. We were then shown around the factory and discovered how the Ouzo was made, Our host was very knowledgeable and told us about the different strengths of Ouzo. Then came the opportunity to taste some of the Ouzo, with a little water. We came away with a couple of bottles. A lovely drink to have with a nice meze.Written 23 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
