- Joan CReserve, NM874 contributionsI have visited here a few times. If you are open, the sacred power in there s place is palpable. If you are searching or looking for direction, this is a place to find answers within yourself. It is also a beautiful place in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend.Written 9 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ISIDOROS21Drossia, Greece210 contributionsExcellent experience, the best Ouzo , is Ouzo of Plomari, high quality and production standards. The distillery very well organized, clean combines the traditional way of distillation with the modern storage and bottling .

Rob and Carol were our guides, were very informative and are very passionate about them. It's free to enter, however a donation to keep the upkeep is most welcome. They are a "must see " historical attraction. I am glad that we visited. Thanks to Rob and Carol for all their hard work.Written 7 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- cshaw190736Hollesley, UK33 contributionsExcellent and informative, seems like a lot of effort has gone into a good presentation of the museum.Written 30 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Clarabelle999Yorkshire, UK4,839 contributionsSame as the reviews last year by the looks of it. €5 each, friendly staff keen to speak English, interesting exhibits in Greek and English, immaculate toilets, lovely cafe with helpful staff and great coffee. Used our ticket for free entry at the Petrified Forest itself (where the staff need lessons in friendliness and manners from the staff at this Museum).
My only comment would be the lack of air con in the Museum which would have been appreciated today.Written 9 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's interesting to see how they were contemporaries, boosting the reach of each other's work through shared endeavours. The collection spans two floors and is laid out with care. There are bathrooms available also.Written 30 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Costas L9 contributionsA 16 century Monastery with a Great Museum. Entrance is free but you pay 2€ for the Museum. In the church only men allowed, but women can go to tje Museum and also lite a candle in a small chapel. Open all day, a must to see if you are in LesvosWritten 10 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joan CReserve, NM874 contributionsOutstanding collection of original pieces by Theophilos. History and biography of the artist in both English and Greek. The paintings are simply wonderful, bright, evocative, and depicting life on Lesvos. Many of the paintings also reflect scenes from Theophilos' travels as a young man. A testament to being your own self and finding your inner vision. This place is tucked away in an olive grove next to the Theriades museum and is a wonderful spot for a picnic if you are so inclined.Written 30 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - beachvolley100Sheffield, UK517 contributionsThis is a hard place to find but its worth it. Its quirky, fun and relaxing. Take your own reef shoes or you will need to borrow some when you are then. The experience is very inexpensive and it’s all a bit surreal. You are advised to go for a dip in the sea and then go and lay in the hot spa waters for 5 mins or so, and repeat this 5 times. Recommend you give it a try but it’s not for you if you have mobility issues.Written 9 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah HHolmbridge, UK125 contributionsI have always wanted to visit this place as it has always been there on previous visits but thought it might not be very interesting for my family. What a brilliant museum and beautifully restored.
Also you find out how Olive Oil was and is still made. Staff are lovely and Elena was so helpful and welcoming. Value for money too.Written 31 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kilian D12 contributionsGo here if you are interested in architecture or Greek history. The entrance fee is 3€ which absolutely is not worth what you get. Students are free which is why I rated it 4 stars. Not worth to go in here with family!Written 19 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - A_M_D_WAWWarsaw, Poland33 contributionsPlace that is not very easy to find. But it is there. Iron gate on the west side of Ermou street leads to small yard with gate to the church. There is nothing very special inside (comparing eg. to Rome) – however on the orthodox island an old catholic church, and the only one, is of some interest.
I had a pleasure to be there on Sunday mass (seems to be at 11:00 am every Sunday and probably Saturday – same time). Experience of multi language and multicultural celebration was absolutely unique.Written 27 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
