The facade here is the attraction and it is certainly impressive and photogenic. You will see this building whilst walking around the town. I did open the front door but inside it looks like any office foyer.

The tourist information provide good information and brochures on sights in and around Quedlinburg. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very nice tower with good views. Important: you need a coin of 1 euro. It will not work with any other coin. It is clearly written there it must be one euro. There is no ticket office or anything. You insert one euro in the machine and the door will be able to be turned. Not exhausting to get there and near the historic center.

This church is well worth a visit. The pulpit especially is a work of art being intricately carved in stone.

On a boiling hot afternoon we went inside as much as anything for a sit down in a cool place. What a wonderful and welcoming place to do this.

The old medieval church has a magnificent alter piece and interesting pews all divided up into small, and I assume originally family sections. Go upstairs and you will see the individual boxes where I guess the better off had their own private worshipping site. One more flight of stairs and there is a real grandstand view.

But then, perhaps somewhat incongruously in a place of worship, the church was acting as an art gallery with an exhibition by Caroline Roling and Jürgen Kuhne of approximately 40 acrylic paintings. The incongruous bit was that these were all paintings of the Tango, with dancers in erotic clinches and scenes which depicted love, temptation, jealousy, drinking and smoking. Perhaps after all not so out of place in a church if the teachings of Christ need examples!

Well worth a visit for a tranquil moment, art exhibition or not.

I recommend this museum and I recommend especially going up to Münzenberg because it is a really cute neighborhood and super empty. The museum is free and there are sometimes employees giving free tours. It is small but interesting there is a lot to discover. You can give a donation. Interesting story of how a professor decided to start this museum and it worked out. Hope they keep on growing.
