We had a great time visiting the Carrara quarries! The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the history of mining industry in that area was very interesting to learn about. Our guide was very knowledgeable (if a little bit rough). Very glad we did this tour

Driver was very informative. Felt safe all the way up the mountain in our jeep. Went on a Saturday so no workers felt like we had the whole area to ourselves.

Definitely one of the most memorable experiences I ever had! A tour filled with insights into art, history and science! The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate. He was more than willing to answer questions (and I do question a lot) and would even customize the tour route upon request. My friend and I are both art students, so the guide led us to the workshop of the local artist and my friend could even buy the tools he couldn’t find in his hometown. Carrara quarries were magnificent to behold, and it was electrifying to be at the very spot where Michelangelo got his marbles to create his masterpieces. By the end of the tour both of us were absolutely elated and grateful about the whole experience. I would love to come back and repeat the tour!

We were not too sure what to expect of the "speleo avventura" in the Equi Caves. Francesca was the leader of our expedition and she made sure we were all briefed and ready to go.

The tour exceeded our expectations!! Too hard it would have been far too challenging (for me anyway!) and too easy it would have been ... well just a bit too easy! It was just the perfect: quite a bit climbing up and down, a good amount of adrenaline pumping too; tibetan bridges/walking wires and, in all, an informative geological afternoon too. We all came out thrilled to have achieved the return journey in these wonderful caves.

I would definitely recommend the adventure well worth the money required to attend.

As a note of caution: you need to be relatively flexible to do the climb and moderately fit. there are some steep climbs and many steps. Vertigo may be an issue but our daughter - who suffers with heights - managed it all as there is only one deep wire bridge the others are relatively low (about 2-3m) Good walking shoes with grip required and a jumper but not too thick as the adventure keeps you warm!

Suitable for families. We were two parents in the early 50s and teenage children.

    Enjoy it!

We had the most amazing chauffeur, di Maurizio Mancini. From the point of pick up, to drop off back at our ship, he was the most personal, professional and amazing host for our trip to Florence & Pisa. We can't thank him enough for making our vacation so special. Thank you again Maurizio for being YOU and having such a giving heart and warm smile! Ilaria was the most beautiful host, she is very warm and welcoming and very easy to understand for us non-Italiano's :-) My husband, daughter and I were lucky enough to arrive at the farm for the cheese tasting when the farmers were in the process of making some cheese so were able to watch and learn about the process, as well as sampling some of their delicious wares. On to Ilaria's gorgeous home for the cooking class and we all agreed, 100/10 to Ilaria for this experience. Delicious yet simple to make food, excellent vermentino (and I don't even like wine normally but had to buy a bottle to take with us it was so delicious) and amazing history in her small hamlet (10 inhabitants!). Thanks Ilaria, this experience exceeded our expectation, molto molto bene!!!!

Unbelievable day with Gianmaria! Six of us toured Cinque Terre in a private minivan It was like traveling with a friend. Gian was very knowledgeable as well as accommodating and always professional. His recommendations were great! He took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. We were back at the ship on time we would definitely tour with him again. You will not be sorry!

Walter was very congenial and informative about local history as well as the quarries. Through him we learned about the marble and met working artisans. It was an amazing experience to walk into the cave! The day was well worth the time and cost.
