Wonderful zoo. Very family friendly. You can expect to be there at least a couple of hours. Bring lots of water if you are there on a hot, sunny day. Really enjoyed the monkeys, the tigers and all the other amazing animals. The prices to get in are also very fair. Lots of free parking.

Loved the cleanliness of the beach. Beautiful view. Area is well maintained. Lots of activities swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding. I did not give this beach 5 stars because they only have porta potty washroom facilities. The two days we were there they definitely hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while.

Our family visited Dempsey Orchards shortly after Thanksgiving. We were interested in picking Honeycrisp apples & were instructed where to pick the apples near the farm. However when we arrived at the area near the farm that was supposed to have the apples the trees were picked clean . The other area was too far away to check out with a 3 year old. We ended up going inside the cafe to purchase Honeycrisp apples. This was not the experience we wanted as the child loves to pick apples. When I arrived inside the cafe the female cashier was not wearing a mask.I questioned her about not wearing a mask and informed her the protocol inside a building was to wear a mask. She basically said people did not have to wear a mask inside. Dempsey website indicated they were following the Covid 19 protocol, clearly they were not. I am not impressed with anyone who does not adhere to the Covid-19 rules. I do not plan on returning to this farm as it seems the staff do not care about the safety of others especially the young children who cannot get a vaccine as of yet. There are too many other u-picks in Nova Scotia that do care about the safety of others.

I stopped coming to this beach a few years ago when there was more dog poop than people. Since the bylaw of scooping up after your canine came into effect, signage was put up to keep pooches on a leash. I decided to try this beach out again today. Come on people, it’s not the dogs fault..this beach again is covered in dog do., barely a spot to lay a towel and young children running around and back into the water. If you are to lazy to clean up after your pet, please leave it the blazes home. Let’s take care of these wonderful resources we have here in this county for all to enjoy or else theses lakes will be closed because of high bacteria counts. Smarten up. Maybe a fine or something stiffer like loss off CPP benefits may make these slackers think . Thank you in advance for cleaning up after your dog. Susan Tziolas.
