Our trip in Cambodia was organised by Mr Viet, who was exceptional in his communication with us and shaped the programme to our needs. The guides we had spoke perfect English and were incredibly knowledgeable in their explanations of history and temple carvings. The transport provided was very comfortable.

On arrival we paid our nominal admission fee to go in to the 'Tourist Centre'. It is pretty but small and not quite what we had hoped for. We then spoke to our driver and explained that we wanted to learn more about the incense and see it made. Suddenly everything changed !! We walked/drove around the village where we saw everything from the bamboo sticks being split and then dried, to litlel 'factories' making the incense with scented wood shavings. We saw incense bundles drying and the vibrancy of the colours was absolutely stunning. With our drivers help we asked questions and learned a lot. We told our driver that we would like to tip those that had been so free with sharing their experiences and he guided us as to what would be appropriate. I like to think that i found a small family here and i will take a piece of that with me for the rest of my life.
