Excellent modern museum, one of the best D-Day sites - A must see
The museum is a short distance from the site of the glider landings, and houses the original bridge (which was removed in the early 90's) a replica Horsa glider, and many items of clothing, weapons, and memorials.

The roads leading up to the site are windy and narrow in places, the locals drive quite quickly so be prepared, especially if coming up the hill from the town.

When you visit Normandy and view the American and British and Canadian Cemeteries there is a different kind of remembrance to the one you get at La Cambe.
We stumbled onto it by chance but it was probably the most memorable site in all of Normandy.
