What travellers are saying
- Greg FFox River Grove, IL26 contributionsI was here the year they opened, and things changed quite a bit. Now there is such a strategy to get on as many rides with as short a wait as possible. My wife and I had the means to buy premier lightning lane passes which allowed us to go once through each ride that offered them with just about a 5-10 minute wait for each. They are very expensive, in addition to the park ticket. It would have been a miserable and stressful experience had we not done so. We had a great time, but felt bad for all the families waiting over an hour per ride that we walked by on most rides.Written 3 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PackUpNGoNowDavie, FL455 contributionsSTAGE SHOWS: Know the schedules for the live-shows (Indiana Jones, Frozen, Beauty & the Beast) - seating fills up quickly and you might not be admitted after the show starts.
FOOD: Before your visit, add a credit card to your Disney app so that you can do mobile ordering to avoid long lines. Also check the menus so your picky eater does not have a hangry meltdown (will your child be happy with a farro salad at the ABC Commissary that does not serve beef burgers, pizza or chicken fingers?).
Eat an early or late lunch to avoid long wait times during peak meal hours at popular places like Woody's Lunch Box (even the mobile order wait time for lunch was over 1/2 hour on a post-holiday weekend visit) and the Galaxy Edge eateries.
SINGLE RIDER LINES (SRL): SRLs are time-savers but you might still have a long wait for Millenium Falcon Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance (45 minute SRL wait for Resistance on a recent post-holiday weekend visit). Doing the SRL may also mean missing the immersive queue and pre-shows. SRL rules are strictly enforced so skip the SRL if you do not want to be separated from your child.
FANTASMIC: Line up early for Fantasmic especially if there is only one show scheduled. Be prepared to leave your stroller in a mini parking lot of strollers (attach an Apple air tag to your stroller to help you find it after the show). If sitting in the center of the arena, sit at least 10 rows back to avoid getting wet from the water cannons and the intense heat from the lake fire. Avoid the mob of people leaving the arena at the end of the show by waiting just 10 minutes.
AFTER HOUR EVENTS: Finally, consider skipping the park during the day and do an After Hour event for smaller crowds (shorter lines for rides), cooler weather during the dusk and evening hours and free snacks. Plan ahead as the limited After Hour event tickets go on sale months in advance and some dates sell out quickly. Plus during the holidays, Hollywood Studios hosts Jollywood Nights.
ANNUAL PASSHOLDER DISCOUNT: Many Hollywood Studio shops and a few restaurants (such as Roundup Rodeo BBQ) offer discounts to Annual Passholders. The discount for evening event tickets varies for the different parks.Written 13 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The ride is toward the back of the French Pavilion in the World Showcase. The ride is very well-themed; it carries out the rat motif of Ratatouille well. Like with the film itself, the drawback is that rats are not easy to feel connection with. It is much harder to imagine myself as a rat than to imagine myself as an astronaut, space traveler, etc. Having said that, the ride is quite well-carried out. It is 4D which means you wear 3D glasses on the ride and that there are other interactive elements on the attraction. The ride cars look like little rat mobiles. They are computer controlled and travel along the floor in conjunction with various visuals. While we were waiting in the queue the ride broke down twice and that did extend the wait time.
My biggest complaint is the wait for this ride. The queue was usually over an hour and most of the day it was 100 minutes. I would not wait 100 minutes to ride this. It is an enjoyable ride, but it is not worth a significantly long wait.Written 8 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Neither of us wanted to get wet since we were about to go to dinner but we wanted to see this area. I'm glad we did.
First of all, there is a dry path in which you are able to 100% avoid getting wet.
Second of all, there is a statue of Te Fiti that made me feel like we entered the movie. It is big and simple perfect.
This area can be 5 minutes or 30 minutes depending on your playing with water desires, but I highly recommend checking it out!Written 10 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A lot of hidden charms and great places to eat.Written 5 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ward DSatellite Beach, FL3,582 contributionsThis pavilion or area is inside Disney’s EPCOT theme park so you need tickets for the park to get to it. Look for the Eiffel Tower and that is where you will find this section. It is at the back of the park between England and Morroco parts of the park. This section of the park has many things to offer visitors. There are at least 7 eateries to include two sit-down restaurants and 5 grab-and-go spots. At most of the events that the park holds like the Food and Wine Festival, and the Flower Festival there is a special kiosk for a taste of France at the entrance to the area. I have been to all of them and they are all good. There is a wine shop, a sing-along show, a movie about the country, and a perfume shop. The section to the right as you face the country is only a few years old and contains The Ratatouille Ride, 2 Creperie eating places and restrooms. The Ratatouille ride and it’s queues are at the back of this section. If you have never been on this ride, I would recommend going. It is fun and they did a good job of making it authentic to the movie from the wait in line to the ride itself. The architecture for the area seems very realistic for the movie’s storyline. It is a very nice pavilion that I would recommend visiting while you are at the park.Written 19 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HarrietNottingham, UK554 contributionsA fun activity to do on a day we had off from park hopping! We love the 2 mini golf courses on offer and it’s great to have the price of the golf included in our Disney ticket! It is a little over priced if you don’t have the Disney ticket that includes this! - Gochaton6 contributionsThis show is a non sense at EPCOT and World Showcase. Some of the scenes are beautiful but so boring. No emotion.
Disney movies are represented in others Disney Parks. Epcot celebrates progress, mankind and cultures. What a great pair of personalities and professionalism to represent the brand. - TravelerCentralFLAClermont, FL2,032 contributionsMy wife and I rode the Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway on our visit to Hollywood Studios. It is a very creative ride with newer technology. It is well designed and very family friendly. It is housed inside the Chinese Theatre that used to be the home of the Great Movie Ride. The name makes it sound like it is a roller coaster, but it is not. The queue has good theming and the ride harkens back to the Disney heritage of Mickey Mouse. At times the wait was longer for this attraction, but we waited for a lesser wait to ride it. It is a decent attraction, but unless you have small children it is not a must-ride attraction at Hollywood Studios.Written 1 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
