What travellers are saying
- preciousness22United States803 contributionsHere you can hold a koala bear and see both koala bears and kangaroos in the wild. It is a once in a lifetime experience that I will remember forever and treasure.Written 19 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Susan CMelbourne, Australia596 contributionsA vibrant linear park on Brisbane’s river front with open lawns, rainforest walks, vegetable gardens, man-made beach-like swimming pools, bougainvillea covered walkways, playgrounds, lounging areas and a Nepalese pagoda. Close to cultural attractions, museums and restaurants the parklands are pleasant to walk along during the day and evenings and just enjoy the ambiance and river views.Written 30 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LeiLeiPalmerston, Australia206 contributionsA must to stop by and see just how big Brisbane is. There is also a cafe open early and a bit of history.Written 5 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Victoria BColchester, UK18 contributionsSpent a whole day on the river for a very cheap tour day, staff on boats very friendly and helpful. I had 2 people with me with limited walking capacity so this day out was perfect we stopped off for lunch then another stop for afternoon tea. Great public transport option to see the river and wonderful architecture of the tall Brisbane skyline.Written 9 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Montana ABrisbane, Australia8 contributionsWhat an unforgettable experience! Our tour guide Torry was super funny and entertaining. The history on beer videos played were well put together and engaging. The whole tour was amazing and the beer tasting was fun! We also got $5 gift voucher to spend on awesome XXXX merch. After the tour we had some yummy Woodfire pizza and more beer in the bar area and played pool. Such a fun Saturday afternoon spent with friends! I would highly recommend if your looking for things to do in Brissy!Written 14 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Susan CMelbourne, Australia596 contributionsThese parklands were an unexpected multi-level green space with open lawns, water features, rainforest walks and flower gardens nestled next to the Roma Street train and bus station. It has bbqs with seating areas and convenient toilets. The Garden Room cafe in the Carriage Shed cafe was light-filled and surrounded by greenery and was a pleasant place to stop and enjoy a drink.Written 30 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Mark_and_Ann_ReillyGuildford, UK325 contributionsA lovely, peaceful place in which to marvel at some of the extraordinary plants native to Australia.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- walt101Easter Island, Chile83 contributionsThe tour was fun. I didn't find it scary, though some of the stories were both interesting and gruesome. Our guide was good, with lots of interesting tales of life inside, escapes, executions, ghostly visits by ex-prisoners, and the appearance of a ghostly cat called Tripod (he had three legs).
I'd also recommend them for their great customer service. Having booked a few weeks in advance, one of our party (my 11-year-old niece) became a COVID close contact and had to isolate for the week, just before the tour. The organisers were so helpful in re-arranging another date.
So, excellent customer service, great tales of a darker side of Brisbane's history, and a fun way to spend an evening with friends or family.Written 6 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - DAVID HFalmouth, UK637 contributionsIts well worth travelling up the river on the CityCat where you get a great opportunity to view some of the fabulous riverside properties as well as a different perspective of the city itself. It was only a restricted route due to the recent floods during our visit but we still enjoyed sailing down the river.Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- janet f13 contributionsWonderfully curated art show with works from Philippines, Thailand, Korea . Well explained and a good lay out. Very good cafe with outside seating under a large shade tree. Free entry with vaccination proof.Written 3 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Susan CMelbourne, Australia596 contributionsQueensland Museum is a located near the river in South Brisbane in the beautiful South Bank area. It was a no-cost, short but nice diversion on a very wet day. It is mainly a relatively small natural history science museum but it also contains a social history ANZAC Legacy Gallery and the science experience SparkLab and special exhibitions (the last two incur extra costs).
The natural history contains stuffed animals, rocks and minerals, which I am used to seeing elsewhere, but the most engaging section for me was the dinosaurs which is built around the fossilised dinosaur stampede footprints found in Queensland’s Lark Quarry and an AV display interpreting it above which is unique to this museum.
The ANZAC Legacy Gallery downstairs is an in depth social commentary on Queensland’s involvement in WWI. A centrepiece is a captured German Mephisto tank.Written 30 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
