We purchased a guided tour and absolutely loved every minute. Our guide Karla was knowledgeable and excited to show us the secrets of the gardens that would otherwise be missed if we chose to self-guide. Would highly recommend the guided tour. The gardens are beautiful and truly worth a visit.

Although it was a drizzly day; we were quite content to wander through the various forests. More labelling of trees could be advantageous.

I have been here several times, sometimes just to sit by the lake, but have also walked the perimeter path (pushing a wheelchair) - takes about 45 minutes at a decent pace. The children's playground is amazing, there are plenty of places for a picnic, there is also an ice cream place and a cafe

The cars were in fantastic condition. This is a great collection of vintage cars. The diner was a bonus and had a lovely lunch there.

Plenty of parking and seating to enjoy your ice cream. Next to Camarosa Restaurant that belongs to the same owner. Pick your own strawberries and raspberries if they are in season. Entry fees applied. They sell freshly picked berries or frozen if not in season. Real fruit ice cream or yogurt. They do coffee as well. They have a dedicated play area with plenty of seating for parents to sit and watch the kids while enjoying their ice cream

Despite it not being “pick your own” time of year or day, this place was great fun. With acres of berries growing it was good just to see them and then go to the shop to purchase some (some fresh, some frozen) and indulge in some of the very nicest ice cream with your choice of fresh fruit. However you look at it, with smiling, friendly service and huge serves, the ice cream alone is worth the trip!

The temple has been reconstructed to strengthen the building, and the church had opened it up for the public to go in, visit, and have a look into this marbled, chandeliered, monumental, immaculately kept palace! In general if you are not a member of the Mormon faith, you are not allowed into the temple, however the temple was open over the month of September 2022, so my whanau and I were lucky to have visited. It was pretty spectacular, with pillars & stillness, colorful, additional beautified amenities, you would hope to see in heaven, that's if in fact, you get there! The gardens are always immaculately maintained, and at Christmas, it is absolutely amazing, especially with the Christmas lights, choir & theater.

The smell is amazing! A beautiful peaceful place, with delicious coffee available. We have been coming here for 3 years in a row now, to pick lavender and blueberries. Quiet areas to sit & enjoy the scenery, easy walking & a little shop full of lavender goodies. There is also edible lavender!
