    Really interesting ruins which give the visitor a much better understanding of the history of Roses Bay and it's historical importance. Guided tours in different languages are available but we preferred just to wander around.

    I suggest the best way to see this is to take the land train, named The Roses Express, and let it haul you through the narrow streets and up the winding tracks as it climbs the hills, and at times comes to what feels like being dangerously close to track edges with significant drops.
    A skilled driver and stops at set points to take in the views. Occasional commentaries, though in truth these are hard to hear midst the noise of the train and people chattering.
    But a great ride. Yes its dusty, but it's well worth it just to absorb all that landscape and nature.
    At the top, which is pretty high up; above the clouds on a dull day, a glass of strong Sangria to fortify you for the journey back.
    A beautiful landscape and a great ride.

    I lived in Canyelles Petites from 1966-1968 and stayed with my friends who owned the bar Don Quijote . It was the most enjoyable time of my life , made a lot of friends and learned the Spanish language . The area is beautiful with a very interesting History . Roses is always close to my heart . The last time I was in Roses was in 1992.

    Nice park, but very expensive and long waiting lines to get in and at the most popular atractions. For lunch little healthy options. The park has a lot of grass area's so it doesnt feel crowded when you want to rest a bit

    We walked from Roses around the coastal walkway which got more rugged and beautiful as we went along. We stopped for a coffee at a cafe on the beach at Almadrava about an hour after we left Roses. We carried on for another couple of hours to Montjoi where we had a refreshing swim and lunch on the beach at a cafe. It really was a spectacular sight walking these cliffs.
    You need to wear good walking shoes and take plenty of drinking water. The path can be uneven so take care.
    We returned the way we had come and were quite weary by the time we got back. We are in our fifties and not super fit but it was a real highlight of our holiday.

    Cala Montjoi is a beach located near Roses, in the well-known Costa Brava, in Girona region, in Catalonia. The beach is very beautiful and it is perfect in summer, you can bath, sunbath all day or eat and drink some thing in the bar. Here few years ago, there was the Bulli, the restaurant of Ferran Adrià, so it is very interesting to come here and see this building, if you like a lot the nouvelle cousine. Very interesting, historical and beautiful.

    Parc Megalític de Roses is a natural place in the surroundings of the town, which is located in Costa Brava Region, in Girona Province, in the North of Catalonia. Here you can walk and see some megalithic structures like dolmens or menhirs. We came here at sunset and we could see two very nice dolmens and some little menhirs. Really, the dolmens were very interesting, specially for stone-lovers as me ;-). One of the dolmen called Creu de Cobertella (Cobertella Cross) is bigger than a person and you could enter inside, but I think that it was forbidden for security reasons. Also, the other one, called Llit de la Generala, is small and very nice. From the last one, you can see wonderful photos of this stone structure and landscape (specially in sunset).

    We went to this Cala during a catamaran trip, and from the first dive, I was blown away by the visibility. Our boat was anchored at 16m depth and I could easily see the sea floor.

    if you go to Roses, you need to visit this place; well preserved, quite and peaceful; worth the visit; you will learn more about the Roman history of the place, and you can walk inside the big gardens of the fortress;

    I went to the wine museum today but it was closed. We peeped trough the windows off the museum and it was all empty. I think it is closed for always. Didn't see anybody there or saw any movement

    Took my two boys 10 and 8 .. They had to go on the smaller track which is 8.5 euros for 7 mins .. Sounds short but it was adequate time for them .. Good little circuit and they loved it .. I couldn't resist and had a go on the big circuit .. 10 euro for 7 mins again but I was knackered after that .. Fast karts, good track .. Nice coffee too .. Very pleasant service ..

    Nice indoor market with good and local products, a shame that 1/4 of the stores are closed. I don’t know if this is temporary or definitive.
