- GuyToronto, Canada16 contributionsWonderful way to get to see most of the key memorials and buildings in Washington DC. We boarded the bus at 10am and finished up at 4pm. Our guide, Evan, was great. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and balanced ( no political agenda) , which is nice in this day and age. The driver, Sylvia, did a great job of getting us close to the sites despite the crowds of Memorial Day weekend. My wife and I were wondering if 15 to 20 minutes would be enough at each site, but it was just the right amount of time. The bus was modern, comfortable and air conditioned on a very hot day. There is quite a bit of walking required, but not strenuous. The access and convenience can't be beat. Our guide Tom was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Normally this would not be a problem, but the afternoon of my tour, the Capital tour was experiencing extremely high demand so by the time we got there, the wait was longer than normal. By the time our small group finished the Capital tour, we didn’t have enough time to go into the Library of Congress building; just look at the outside as we walked back to the starting point. Perhaps starting the walking tour in front of the Capital instead of the 10-15 minutes away, would allow more time for browsing and enable the tour to be complete if the Capital is experiencing high demand. I would recommend this tour to those able to walk briskly and for a long time. I've never done a Segway tour before and as a 60 y/o I was a little nervous, but they are super easy to use and a great way to see the city. Our guides were funny and knowledgeable! We really loved the whole experience. - AnonTraveler5 contributionsWe had a great time on our night tour with Ramon! He had a lot of good stories and history, plus it was a way to get the lay of the land around DC. He was great about answering all our questions and giving us tips/suggestions. We were in a bus of 10 and it was very roomy. Stopped at all the major monuments, it was very busy at each stop, but everyone else wants to see the monuments lit up too. TIP: make sure to go and visit the monuments on your own during the day. This tour has a lot of ground to cover so you only get about 10-20 minutes are each stop. A lot of the memorials need a bit of time to appreciate. We did not stop at the FDR memorial so make sure to go back to that one on your own.
