- Single Mum TravelsCanberra, Australia167 contributionsLike Disneyland head to Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park to collect a Birthday badge for anyone celebrating a birthday while there. We had a fantastic time here, recommend eating at Pym's Test Kitchen for something different. Also we came across Redwood Creek Challenge Trail which we hadn't noticed before, my son had a fantastic time playing in there and it was a welcoming very quiet break from the noise of the park. Just note kids 12 and under can do the flying fox in there, but he turned 13 while on our trip so he then couldn't do that part anymore it still didn't stop him doing the rest. Favourite rides were Monsters Inc., Toy Story Mania and Web Slingers. Firstly head to City Hall on Main Street if someone has a birthday in the group to pick up a birthday badge for them and badge for the members in the group, to get the celebrations started.
We love coming here every couple of years to experience the magic and see what's new. Last time we came we saw Galaxy's Edge starting to get built so we were super excited to actually go in there this trip, ALOT of time was spent there, smugglers run was my sons favourite ride, it was even better when we realised there was a single rider line. He loved being able to build his own droid too for the whole package it cost around $180 usd, we took it on as carryon on the plane home as we didn't want to get it damaged.
Our first day in the parks was the first day of Celebrate 100 years of Disney (not planned), did I risk it not getting Genie + for it? Yes, but as we did a 5 day park hopper we didn't miss anything we still got to ride everything the longest wait was 40 minutes. Which worked out great because I don’t think is would had the energy to shop on the Disney days.
Having said that be aware not everything sold in the parks is in World of Disney. We saw loads of stuff extra in the parks.
There are a few restaurants and other shops. This area is in no way on the scale of Disney world equivalent.
Band playing was a nice touch and created atmosphere. Area was beautiful in places, especially at night when lit up.

Digital tickets worked out well. Bought preferred parking, but wasn't necessary because of low attendance. Good view of field from every seat. Disappointed because Trout did not play. Also half parking lot is $7 valet, other half is free. Had to pay for parking, but it was easy in and easy out --- great traffic flow after the game. - LO R36 contributionsWe were excited to watch this show. We showed up 1hr early and got told to move behind a white rope that pushed us back. The system they have is terrible. My kids wanted to go back to the hotel because there legs were sore from standing. We were told to stand up by disney staff. There are so many people you might get lucky to glimpse it. People squeeze infront of you, its like your packed in like sardines. They need a better system. After the show you have to hold onto your children and family its like a mob rush after. People can get divided very easily. Fantastic show if your able to get on the front without being pushed back

Do single rider line, first time we were on the ride in 10 mins second time 20 mins. This was when the average wait in the standby queue was 60-120 minutes. I got to ride with my husband on both rides, it’s pot luck but worked out for us.

We brought our 1 and a half year old and she absolutely loved it. We spent about 2 and half hours there, there are plenty of places to take shade and sit down, park the buggy and toilets etc. we thought it was a perfect size for kids, you can let them loose as it’s not a big area, and then there are 2 roller coasters and a drop ride for the Tweenies, we went on the rollercoaster (minus the baby) and it was really good. There is also a small animal petting area where the kids can brush goats and a pig and there are chickens. Also there is free parking. We liked this place so much we went twice in the same week. Our family had been at Disneyland the day before and we needed a down day. This park was perfect for our group. The grandkids played on the playgrounds and most of the adults walked the trails and enjoyed the birds on the lake. We were there too late to rent the swan paddle boats - rentals closed at 3 p.m. (Maybe stay open longer for afternoon visitors.)
The entrance fee was reasonable for our group $3 per car (for 12 people). There were restrooms and sink stations available. Beware the squirrels though! They are not afraid of humans and will come right up to you! The staging was incredible and there were plenty of Storm Troopers walking around.
