At The Gourmet Market, their are various kind of fruits both domestic and imported ones to select for eating. One of the biggest mall in Bangkok, Thailand. Sit in the heart of Bangkok. It’s also one of the well-known attractions in Bangkok.

Central World is touted as the largest lifestyle shopping complex in the region and a trip to here explains. The greater complex actually host a hotel, office space, cinema and even an indoor ice skating rink, but for tourists… let’s review shopping and food! The sprawling premise offers an unrivalled mix and range of products and services that will put the fun back into shopping for all.
Not quite the High-end (likes of ICONSIAM) it’s value proposition is that of a Mid-class shopping center. Still Central World's brought in good mix of renowned brands. Alongside department stores there are both local and overseas brand that one can send hours shopping! I myself bought a Japanese Kamimura shirt with a great discount at Central Department Store, pity they do not carry Yibesu.
Dining at Central World is a treat for the palate, there's something to suit all styles and budgets. One can sample authentic Thai food in the comfort of restaurants and the many overseas cuisines from around the world. In fact there was a Japanese Fair area and many things Japanese are available,
Conveniently linked to the continuous R-Walk we dropped by Central twice during our 5-nighhts Stay nearby. Definitely recommended for all.

This is super huge mall. It has tons of restaurants of all different cuisines. Each floor has its own theme, different from other floors, designed after each destination city.

It's a 7 floor big shopping mall where you get lots of good and bad fake stuff. Prices are reasonable. Some of the stuff are very interesting. need at least 2 hrs to go thru the shops. Need to bargain a lot. They sell gold, clothing food, shoes, watches.....

Not what it was unfortunately. Fewer shops and restaurants - fewer original shops. Still decent setting, water front location , live bands etc...

As an american we tend to be a little larger than most of society. Sizes are limited for bigger people not to say that I’m obese, but I found that American extra-large is a 3X here and that’s the larger size they go to. Women’s section is floor 1-3, men’s is only floor 4, food is on 6. If you get food you have to put money on a card/coupon and pay the vendor with that. Learned that the hard way

Indeed I was a bit sceptical about what I would find there after reading so many stories. However it was a nice setup with excellent local food and some decent shopping for clothes and nick Mac’s

We arrived at Sanam Chai metro station and the Flower Market was well sign-posted.

The Flower Market is covered, so it was nice to shelter inside and escape a heavy rainfall.

The Market seems to be bisected by a major road, and each side seems to have fruits/veg and flowers (lots of marigolds, roses, orchids). On one side there is also a shrine.

Eating is more challenging here as we didn’t find a lot on offer, but we did find a street-side restaurant selling pad-Thai and noodles - AND we could sit down - for 50 THB, and both were fantastic.

I did feel a bit voyeuristic in the market, but nobody seemed to mind our being there. Occasionally a motorbike would whizz through the market, and plenty of men pulling enormous wicker baskets - one even had an old lady in it!

We enjoyed it and found it very vibrant.

A good place to shop for trendy streetwear. The Åland store on the 2nd floor has only clothes and accessories, no skincare items.

It's one of the closest "floating" markets we can find online so we decided to go with it. It's about a 30 minutes drive from the city and we spent around 2 hours here.

Commercialized but there are many good local food here in one place. Not much of a floating market because they are all on the platform, you can only get perhaps some fresh food on boat, but you can take a boat ride around the quaint canal neighborhood. There are some live music when we were there. Prices for food here are definitely cheaper than the city – fresh coconut from 20baht.

We opted for a private boat ride at 400baht. It took us around the canal homes, but we made some stops at a small temple (with some food), and a small coffee house with an orchid farm.

Recommended for most travelers, young and old may have trouble with getting on and off the board that's all.

We were here again after 3 years due to the pandemic. Still a good place to shop around for daily essentials, local food products, etc. But its no more that crowded as it used to be before the pandemic. If you buy a lot of stuff, you can pack it into carton boxes at the 'packing point', carton boxes are free.

Of the markets we visited in Bangkok, this was the smallest one and the most difficult to get to since it required us to take a taxi from the BTS station instead of being readily accessible on foot. There were very few food vendors there, and a slim variety of vendors compared to the other markets. Also there are some renegade markets nearby that are brightly lit that you pass before you get there, so you could easily get misled though if you find what you want, it probably doesn’t matter which market you got it in. We also did get our best looking elephant shirt at this market and we discovered our first chicken kabobs, so for those reasons, this market still stood out as a favorite. From the Ratchathewi BTS station though, I think it was 100 BHT each way to and from the market, and the tuk tuk drivers will definitely want to charge you a lot more than that.

One of the older and smaller malls where they have Marks and Spencer among other brands. There is an excellent food court on the top floor. One can get allmost everything here, - I did not see any cars for sale. The only thing that was missing here was a cinema. I will certainly come back here because of the nice atmosphere and also it is very convenient to the BTS.
